Need Advice.. Not Judgement!
OMGosh Lisa, that's horrible!! Not only to be date-raped, but to suffer further abuse about it by others on OH. I am glad that OH took care of the situation and I hope you are ok. Sending love and big hugs. xoxoxo

Thank you. I appreciate the sentiment.
Jenji,
I also don't know you and I agree with Julie in that sometimes things come across different in print then they were meant to be. I know I have stuck my foot in my mouth more than once, saying what I thought and then later reading what I wrote and saying "OH MY GOD THAT IS NOT WHAT I MEANT! ". I have some news for you Jenji, you are not perfect, I have more news no one is. We all do the best that we can, and I challange everyone on this boards to cast the first stone! All you can do is your best and focus. I suggest you find a partner someone to hold you accountable. I think that helps alot. If you can't find a person, journal what you eat, and also include if you are eating because it is time to eat or because your head is wanting to eat, or you need to eat. THis helps me and honestly I should journal more often. Get to support group meetings, meet others for coffee and get involved that is your best bet. I am sorry that your experince was less than positive. But sometimes we all need a swift kick in the butt! I know I do more than most! lol. I hope you stick around and I hope that you come here and share. You are not alone, there are many of us that are here that welcome you with open arms.

Hi,
It's impossible to control what an individual writes in a pm, other than to try to take what they say with a grain of salt. This board has a lot of supportive and caring people. It is a shame that there are those who forget that people need support and encouragement.
All I can offer in support is that we have all hit a wall during our journey to weight loss. Some of us have hit that wall several times, but we get back up, dust ourselves off and keep on plugging away. I know you can do it. Just believe in yourself, remember why you chose this path, and re-commit to being a success. You are not a failure. You are human. There is nothing wrong with that.
Good luck!!

I have VERY thick skin so there is probably nothing someone can say to me in a negative way that I really care about. So just know that SOME people are just as*holes, so when you come across them, use some tissue and flush their as*es down the toilet =)
I am SO sorry that you have been attacked and judged, just know that for every 1 person who attacks you there are 20 who will NOT attack you.
If you are having guilty feelings over something you eat, for the most part that is beyond my scope cause you really have to look within. We can all tell you not to feel guilty, but it's only you who can take charge of your life and UNDO your history as it relates to food.
Sugary foods whether sugar free or regular can be a very slippery slope especially if you have some form of addiction.
My suggestion is to find someone you can talk to about your weight history and history with food and the feelings you have surrounding food, that can be anyone from a stranger/therapist or someone else who is in the weight struggle as well. Maybe you can connect with someone you've met who also has WLS. What ever it is you need to talk about it and get it out. My mental issues that I have with food have not been undone because I had WLS, nor because I have lost 100lbs. It's a daily struggle to make the right choices and to move my body.
Good luck to you.

Thank you all for u words and support. Ms. Shell U made me laugh. Thanks.
Jenji..you are NOT a failure!!
You made a decision that changed your life.....we can only move forward because of our decision, not backwards. Everyday you wake up is forward momentum because if you had not had your WLS, tomorrow might be in jeapardy because of bad health. A stumbling block is only that...a stumble..not a fall.
When I am having a "bad" day, be it nutritionaly or emotionaly, I just shake myself about and tell myself...."it is what it is". I try very hard to let go of what is nagging at me and move on....with a stronger will, atleast for the day...tomorrow starts a new day of trial and errors, which I will face when I wake up again. We who have had WLS may have had a different addiction, but it is still and always will be...ONE DAY AT A TIME"
Keep at it, you will win....
sinding my best of prayers and good wishes...
