Good Saturday Morning

Good Morning Calif.......

Today is the start of 5 days of heck for me. I am working two 16 hours shifts and 3, 12 hours shifts. With one day off to sleep most likely. Plus, I need to see the doctor on my ankle and make sure its ok for me to start running agian.

Yesterday I was able to shave Fresser, and wash all the kids before heading into work. I also cleaned the back yard. UGH it was so bad, the leaves are falling big time. And the dust. OMG!!!! At one point I was coughing and choking on the dust, I thought I would throw up, but luckly I had not had anything to eat, so nothing in there to share. LOL It was just the dust got me. The sad thing, when I got home, I went out back to get the bag of leaves and it looked like I have not even cleaned it. Pissed me off. LOL!!!

Yesterday, my nephew found out he leaves TOMORROW (sunday) for boot camp. A whole month early! My sister is freaked out but he is so happy. He wants this so bad and he has been working hard for it. I am happy for him but will miss him, and worry about him all the same. Auntie Lu is very proud! :-D

I was going to meet up with my book geek friend Chris last night, but work got in the way. I am sure we would have had a great time. Chris, sorry I missed your call and the chance to meet up and have a visit. I hope you daughter got off OK and that they have a very fun and safe trip. Tell them to send a post card or two...

OK time for the shower and coffee. Before heading into work. Today is the RN's birthday so we are having a pot luck for him and another nurse whos birthday was last week. So I don't have to pack a lunch or anything. YAH!!

Good Morning Janine and Cal Guys and Gals,

I had a date last night, an official date.  My husband asked me out and got a babysitter and everything!  It was so cool.  We went to this place called the ****y Bull for dinner.  I ordered the special thinking we were going to share it, but then my husband ordered another dinner so guess what huge leftovers.  It was fun as when we got home the kids were still up and they attacked the left overs and ate them all up!  lol.  It was fun to watch.  We went to go line dancing at this place after dinner, but there were like 3 people there and some old hoggy guy playing a guitar.  NOt my thing.  lol.  so off we went to watch Karaoke and that was fun.  I really enjoyed it.  We were home by like 10:30 ish.  Gosh I must be getting old.  I remember getting home at 4:30 and then getting up at 6:30 for work not a problem  Heck I am pooped by 10:00 p.m. now!  lol but I do get up early so that is my excuse.  Jean sorry to hear that you are having the ickies, that is just not fun.  Thanks for the sweet commets on my new do.  Well today, I am going to the gym,  then I don't know what after that  my mother goes home today (that is a good thing)  She has become so demanding and very **itchy, but what else is new?  Well that is all I can think of rght now.  So I shall let you all go.

Good morning Cali,

Today brings cleaning and some prep work for the BB Que tomorrow.  I have to bake a cake and make the salsa.  The thing is getting bigger by the minute!  All of the cleaning counts as exercise RIGHT!!!  Oh well time to get off my but and make breakfast for everyone.

I am going to need some coffee this morning. I would love to go back to bed, but I have so much to do. The usual off day stuff, clean the house, laundry, grocery store. I wish someone else would do it for me, and I could just sit back and relax. I also need to finish reading the book "the shack". It is due back at the library today. I can't renew it either. It is a popular book. That is about it for me today. I work tomorrow and Monday. I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend.

Good Morning Cali Crew!!

Just back from exercising a bit ago. I don't know if its the heat or if its just me, but I am tired and a little worn today. Was supposed to do a 2 mile walk with ms. Rhonda, but just didn't have the energy. I need to pick it up! If I get my consult soon, it wont look too good if I gain weight.

Last night I had a surprise, I was getting ready to leave to go visit my mom, when my husband starts yelling my name to come outside. I can hear my dogs going crazy. So I run to the door and my husband points to ONE of the neighborhood stray cats. Good grief! She just had kittens!! 7 to be exact, right under our patio bench.  Now our manager is usually the one who feeds this stray, so I call her and she tells me--"do what you want to do Shell. Call animal control." Now its my responsibility?! Well it was getting late and I knew they weren't open so I left a tote with a blanket in it and some water. Went to see mom and bought a couple pkgs of cat food.

I called animal control this morning. Guess what! They are closed until Monday! I don't know anything about cats, let alone nursing moms and kittens! How often do they eat? What do they eat dry, wet? Yikes, what do I do? I feed her a pkg of food last night and another one around 845 this morning. Do they only eat once a day?

Guess that is my dilema of the day. Wish me luck, and if any of you can give me some advice I would sure appreciate it.

Oh my . . . you poor thing with the kitties.  Water is good . . . and since it's a stray - dry food would be all I put out.  I give mine wet once a day and dry food out for whenever they want it.

Well, it's certainly no longer morning but Hi there Janine and the Cali group.

I hit the ground running at 4 am this morning with laundry, housework and then (when the sun came up) yard work and trimming trees and oleanders. I worked so hard before breakfast that when we got done with our second breakfast and shopping in town I was too tired to go to support group....sigh...I went home and actually ate a bit and then napped.

This afternoon we went to my sister's place on the OTHER end of the valley from us for her annual spare rib cook off and barbeque. I helped with the tally of the scores (like Price Waterhouse...very legal and legit. LOL) but it got cold and my nose started to run so we had to leave early and let the party continue. I actually had a nice visit with my brother and sil...

Great work on tallying the scores . . . but I have to tell you .  . . our name is PricewaterhouseCoopers now (can you tell which side of the merge I'm from over ten years ago?) :D  Glad you had fun!
