More Nor Cal Lunch Pics

Hey Cali Friends, what a great time we had at our Nor Cal Lunch today.  Not only did we have our wonderful Monica & Dawn (and her girls) from So Cal, but we also had a nice visit with Sarah and Dr. Mariotti (plastic surgeon who specializes in WLS patients).

The pictures are great! I'm thinking of coming to the next lunch and wanted to know if you would mind if I brought along a man that is interested in doing a multi-media presentation on weight loss surgery. It is in the planning stages now and he is trying to get a wide variety of stories and experiences in order to decide where he wants to go with it. He does a lot of work for NPR, magazines, radio and some film. He's very professional- he's a physician that has branched out into the photo/film arts. I met him in SF last Monday and spent 3 hours discussing my experience and his ideas. I was very impressed. Would your group welcome him?

I hope you'll come to the next luncheon and experience such a wonderful group of friends.  Truth be known, we make the rest of the restaurant jealous because we're having such a good time!  I've had people come up to me asking what kind of an organization we are!  I just tell them were friends who are sharing a journey together and support one another.

I personally wouldn't mind as long as things are kept very low key because the purpose of our get togethers is friendship and support of each other's journeys.   We had Dr. Mariotti and his assistant Sarah come this month because Lisa and Bill (who come to the lunches) are patients of his and thought he might be able to answer questions for folks who had them.  Some asked questions and others kept on visiting amongst themselves.  Sarah kept things low key and both she and Dr. Mariotti joined in the lunch and had a wonderful time as did we.  So that type of thing works for me.  However, this isn't my group, it's everyone's group, I just make the reservations at Chevy's and there is no official leader.  I am going to ask our regular attendees for their thoughts.

My 2cents worth....I'd like to know more about the gentleman and his creditentials.  Has he published or released any other documentaries?  I wouldn't have a problem with him attending our group, keeping it very low key and totally optional to speak with him.  Our visit from Sara and Dr Moriotti was perfect..they 'blended in' with the group and didn't try to distract from the purpose of the luncheon...friends with a common journey visiting and having a great time ^_^  So, there's my 2cents...maybe 3 LOL
