Nothing much going on with me today...just work and then home to pack the m/h for Washington.  After work yesterday, ran out to Kaiser to get my medical records on flash drive..neat idea if you think about it. And it only cost $5!  Then went over to the vision center and order new frames for my lenses...my precious Trudy (year old chihuahua) loves the nose pieces..and mine are gone in my driving glasses.  Went to support group and boy! was it interesting ^_^  We had a special guest speaker, a plastic surgeon..and he had a great sense of humor and put on a  great presentation of what he has done and can do with plastics. He specializes in WLS..and his work is amazing!  I thought I wasn't interested in PS, but he made me rethink my thinking ^_^

Well, that's it for me...rather boreing day today except that the boss gave me another research project...and he's on vacation! I thought blackberries did't work when you are at the beach!! Well, they shouldn't! LOL

Have a great day peeps...sure hope somebody reports on Diane..I know, no news is good news, right?  Praying she is doing better ;-)

Hi Lu and the Cali Crew,

Javi and Michelle, I hope your little loved ones are doing better as the day progresses. 

Lu, I love Jeeps too, but I've never owned one myself. Maybe that will be my next car if they make a hybrid jeep???? I commute a long distance and need to get a car with high mileage!!

Yesterday was not a stellar day. I had painful constipation all day and I ended up throwing up dinner.  I was not a happy camper.

My day will be filled with a lot of writing to respond to constituent inquiries about everything from the state budget to constitutional reform to dirty highways to state parks and so many other issues.  I sometimes forget what I am writing about in the middle of the letter because there are so many issues to think about!!!

After work I'll be hanging out with my mom who is starting to feel better after her last chemo treatment. I have to find a black turban like hat for her as her hair is almost gone. I'll be so glad when this chemo stuff is done in December. Hopefully the treatments are doing some good.

Here is to a better day I am hoping!

Good Morning All,

I just came from a meeting with my boss regarding the backlog filing.  She could not believe that I have backlog filing since before the move.  I have been seriously helping out in other areas playing catch up.  She did not understand the magatude of filing that is needed to be done.  I explained to her what I do for e-filing and then what I do for the hard copies.  It is a process - I hope she understands that.  The meeting when well.  I got nervous for nothing.  I think she knows that I am trying very hard to not only do the current stuff , but also to help bring the old stuff up to date.

Tonight my BFF and I are going to a Sparks game at Staples Center.  I scored free tickets because one of the co-owners is a partner at the firm. 

Last night, while I was enroute to my support group meeting, a lady that I have been knowing for over 25 years (we used to be best friends but I have since stopped dealing with her for several reasons), called me to let me know that her aunt died of cancer.  She kept asking me if I was shocked and I kept telling her "no".  She had already told me that she was terminal and that the doctor wasn't going to give her any radiation or chemo because she was too old and would not benefit from it a week ago.  I did not go see her , this past week,  because the last time I went to her house, she got mad at me because I did not make her house my final and only destination.  So after that, I just did not want to be bothered anymore.  The niece, my ex-best friend,  wants me to go to the funeral and ride in the family car.  I will go and offer support. 

That is the story of my life.

Hey all, Well it is hot,hot,hot here today! But tonight and tomorrow night brings the meteor shower and this years should be a really good one!! One of the few things I like about summer. I am a fall and spring girl for sure!

Today I paint my tool box (yes for real tools.LOL), covered a ugly plastic waste basket with bamboo, I used old place mats on the outside and painted the inside. I like how it turned out. Then I put the final trim on my doggie steps that I had covered while working on The Room..
I then went to see my oldest friend (friends since I was 4 1/2), She just had lapband on the 28th and is having a hard time with the protein drinks. I wasn't surprised after seeing which one she was drinking and how she was preparing it.ECK!!! So, I took here some good protein powder (2 kinds) some FAGE yogurt to sample, about 5-6 packets of crystal lite and some teas and 8 -10 pages of recipes and ideas. And took her "lunch", I pureed some homemade chili verde,knowing she love spicy and I was sure she needed something with lot of favor. I look forward to hearing from her to see if it went down ok.I thought she was going to cry when she relized I had pureed the chili for her and kept it warm for her lunch. She was in her class  room getting ready for the new school year. She has been teaching kindergarden for 37 years!! 32 of those have been in the same class room. She is a fantastic teacher...and person for that matter.
Now I am going to go water my garden and then BBQ a tri-tip for dinner. Wow, it has been a busy day today.
