Sorry Long Beach Coffee'ers

I am writing in java brown, just because I am already missing the coffee gang already and it's a whole week before!

My painters came today and did the texture on the walls, and had TOLD me that they would come tomorrow and do the color.

That was the agreement.

I assume that they know their stuff, right?

Well, when they finished today, they said if they painted color on the texture before at least 48 hours drying time, that it would likely peel up, especially since it's in a bathroom, where there's moisture in the air.

Um, didn't ya know that before you came?? Why tell a customer you'll do it two days in a row, if it's impossible? (I know the answer... tell them what they want to hear so you can get the job).

Anyway... they're coming at 8am NEXT SATURDAY, LB coffee day. And I don't want to leave my house all open and my doggies alone with a painter that I haven't even met yet....

Bottom line... I am going to miss coffee next week.

I am very sad, but I will look forward to September coffee w/you all.

Lori, Hate to say this Honey...But someone is feeding you a line of poo!! You can paint over texture in 12 hours and No it won't peel if the did it right in the first place. And I do know what I am talking about...You can see my last project on my profile pictures. I have redone almost every room in this house and that includes texturing,taping, paint,flooring, and walls...and the list goes on fora good long time. OUr house is over 50 years old and when it was built I don't think there was a premit ever filed cause ...WOW, some of the work was really, really bad!!!!!!!!

Sorry you are going to miss the LB coffee... It always sounds like a good time by all.

you know what, Joy, i had a feeling he just didn't want to work two weekend days in a row... i think that's really it, and if he had told me that up front, he might have lost the job...

I am so very sad to here that you will not be there...I miss my Lori poo!!  WAIT!!  I have an idea.....we can bring coffee to you.....hey coffee in the yard...LOL!!!
