Beautiful Sunday Cali Friends, what are you thankful for today?

Today I am thankful for...

1.  My father-in-law coming home today after being in the hospital and/or skilled nursing since May.  God please watch over both he and Isla (MIL) and make this transition easy for them.

2.  My husband, who just continues to amaze me with his sensitivity, wisdom and smarts (not to mention his humor)

3.  My new job, thank you God for the opportunity to be a part of a wonderful, caring place.  May I retire out of this job because I know it will be a great one.

OK your turn, what are you thankful for today?

Dear Barb,

I thank God for my friends here, the strength to meet the challenges I face and my family.  I am also thankful that your father-in-law gets to come home and will send good wishes for him and your mother-in-law that the transition back home is an easy one.

Lastly, I am thankful that you got this position and more importantly (to me), we get to meet you next Saturday!  I am looking forward to that very much.

Have a wonderful Sunday and Labor Day weekend!

Naomi,

I know my father-in-law is so happy to be coming home.  Isla got him one of those "ejector" chairs (JK) but they lift up and recline automatically and I know he will love it.  I am so happy we live just 8 minutes from them, so neither of them need to worry to much for assistance when needed.

I am so excited to come down there and meet everyone you can't even imagine!  I hope the week goes quickly.  Ron and I will be driving down on Friday and I can't wait to get there.

Hope you have a great day and rest of the weekend too.

Hugs and real ones soon!

Dearest Barb,

Thank you for doing this post every single day.  It's such a blessing and positive place.  It makes you stop and think.

I am thankful for Dougie, who continues to work his ass off for me.  Cooking, cleaning, laundry, the market, and he works 50 some odd hours a week.

I am thankful for the strength God has given me.  It surprises even me most the time, of how I deal with my health issues, the drive that I have to get better and for the positive attitude I seem to have this time.  I know that there are so many alot worse off than me, and I pray daily for those.

I am thankful that I get to meet you finally.  I cannot wait, I love to be around people and love to meet faces of those I have seen for so long and just never had the time or pleasure of meeting.  I love you already, and I know we are going to get along great!

Everyone have a great day....make it fun.

Love, Diane

Diane,

Are we going to have fun next weekend of what?  I can hardly wait!  OMG, we're going to laugh and carry on.  So glad you're bringing Dougie, I know he and Ron will get along just fine too.  Ron gets along with everyone, he's like me.... we'll he's quieter than I am at first, I just am crazy all the time!  LOL

I am so glad to hear your trip to Costco went well yesterday and that every day is marked with progress.  I never had a doubt for even a second!

See you soon with real hugs (gentle ones for you lady!)

Gee Barb, I think you must be a celebrity on this site.   It is because you are so sweet and encouraging.  I hope I can meet you one day too!

Well I am thankful that I am feeling better again today.

That we are going out to breakfast this morning after my husband finishes mowing the lawn.

That my liquid diets starts tomorrow and surgery is Wednesday.  It stills doesn't feel real yet.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Elizabeth,

I'm hoping you might be able to join us for the Nor Cal luncheon!  You're not too far away!

No celebrity, just a legend in my own mind!  LOL

Wishing you the best of your surgery prep with the liquid diet, I had to do it for a week, it wasn't that bad.  I just drank a ton of water with it.  I also strained soup including hot and sour chinese soup.  Man was that tasty!

Hugs,
Barb

I am thankful the pigs were sold and left this a.m.  I dont have to remember to go out and feed them anymore

I am thankful that my surgery has no copay!!!!!  It cost me more to go to a regular Dr.'s appt than surgery/hospital stay will cost me.

Deb, I am so very happy to be the Genni pig.  I will let you know all of what you can expect!  OF course I am expecting my surgery to be smooth sailing. Just like I am expecting you to be too.  I will probably post Sat or Sun.  I come home from the hospital on Friday.  I am glad you got your pigs sold.  Is it hard not to become attached?
