BREAKING A CARB BINGE..

OMG...I feel like i'm going back to my old carb ways. I know that around my time of the month I have an increased appetite..I do try and control it but then I crave potatoes and pasta...so I do have a little...then afterwrds I find myself eating more later... How the heck do I break this craving besides coming off my period. I think the extra carbs is  why I haven't lost anything in almost 2 months... ANyone go through this and then came out of it to start weight loss again? I'm feeling kind of lost...

Girl I feel ya!! I go through this too.....I find that if i eat more protien thru out the day I am not hungry and so I don"t eat the carbs...I also drink alot of fluids thru out the day. This helps alot. Best of luck to you!

wwooohhh...I feel better knowing I'm not the only one...haha. Yes, today I brought nothing but protein items to work and will stay away from carbs as much as I can...Good luck to you also...

Wouldn't it be nice if it was as easy as just saying No.  I know it is hard.  I don't have any advice for you but I wanted to wish you good luck!

Hi Angelina,

I am the same way around that time of the month too. My appetitie increases and my pouch can take in more food. It's strange, but I was the same way before surgery too.

I have no idea if this will help for you, but at Whole Foods and even Safeway, I found these noodles that are made completely from soy. I wish I could remember the brand, but they come in a skinny and thick version. The whole pack is only 40 calories and it's almost all protein. When I craving noodle like dishes, I have this with low fat cheese melted on top or any topping will do. They come in small packages and the noodles are immersed in water. I've found these things in the same area as other soy/tofu products kind of near things like yogurt.

Sometimes I allow myself to have a small amount of carbs, but pasta is like death to me so I don't eat it. Also the very healthy tasting low sugar, high fiber muffins at Trader Joe's helps too. Be sure to get the small size and not huge size.

Yes, I do notice I can eat more food..I try not to pu**** but I'm like...Ok, stop now. Then I get the guilt feeling of why did  I eat that...haha. I will check our those noodles at SAfeway..Sounds good..Thanks so much... I do need to check out Trader Joe's...I just need to plan ahead and get back on track... Have a great day!

I've been bitten by the bug as well......It really really sucks,  I see the stuff, and the next thing I know! I'm reaching for it..........UGH!!!

LOL...I'm glad to hear that we all go through this and that I'm not  doomed...hehe.  I'm only 9 months out and feel like I wont maintain...so back on track for me... Good luck to you and have a good day!
