Found My Way - Day 21 (I'm still here)

Wow, I have been so busy I have not had time to go online and post.  I am still doing good, but have had a couple very busy days where I found myself not counting my fat grams or calories and just kind of winging it.  I'm not feeling that great about things, and am afraid that slacking has taken it's toll.  I have not been bad, except for going out to dinner once with my husband and I ate one taco and some refried beans and a few tortilla chips.  Nothing majorly bad, but still not the best.   I guess I am just paranoid and afraid to get on the scale.

My husband had a strange work week last week so I was running all over the place taking my daughters where they needed to be.   I am running the Book Fair at my daughter's school this week, on top of working full time.  My oldest daughter is moving out this weekend so we were running around all weekend doing garage sales and thrift shops trying to get her some stuff for her new place.  It has been an exhausting week, but I am so thrilled that I did not give in.  I did not cave to the temptation to go to McDonalds or something like that.  I even met some friends with their children at the local ice cream shop and I did not have anything.  It was quite an accomplishment.

Excercise has been a little slow, rode my bike a couple short rides last week.  I set up the Book Fair which consisted of moving a lot of big boxes and unpacking books, climbing on chairs, etc...  I could hardly walk the next day so I know I got a work out climbing on those darn chairs!   I guess that just shows that exercise doesn't have to be conventional, just any extra movement helps.

The money budget is very tight this week, so shopping for the healthier foods will be more of a challenge, but I love a challenge.    I have started buying whole heads of lettuce and chopping it myself instead of buying the bags of salad mix.  Apples are on sale now so we are eating them as our snacks and my kids love them.   My girls are still focused and are defnitely trying to eat better.

Hey Deanna...thought we had lost you there for a bit LOL  You sound like you are doing great!  You are still very much aware of what your behavious is, still sounds like you are making wonderful choices and yes, any movement is exercise in my book LOL  As far as your dinner out...I think you did fantastic!  You don't have anything to beat yourself up over...in fact, I would say you should be patting yourself on the back!  No Ice cream??  No MickeyD's?  Down right PROUD of you!!

You are doing great!  Diane told me to start reading your blog and I really enjoy it.  I can't believe it has been 21 days though!

Hey Deanna,

Congratulations on doing your best to keep yourself on track!!  You are doing so WELL and just take it from me...face the scale...sometimes it's our fear that keeps us off the scale and when we don't weigh it gets out of hand and quickly.  Believe in  yourself and even if the scale shows something you don't want to see then just take a good hard look at your diet and see if there are some changes you can make!!

Keep up the AWESOME job darlin.  We're here routing for you every step of the way =)

Hi,

SO good to see you are still doing great.  And as Nancy said, you should be patting yourself on the back, your dinner out, there was nothing wrong with what you did.  You are keeping right on course.  I missed you posting, but I certainly understand how sometimes life does get in the way of posting!! :-)  Keep it up and you will not only be thinner you will be healthier.  It's great that your kids are following your footsteps!

Still here and wishing you the best.   Diane
