Welcome to the Cali board, so glad we can join in and support you on your journey.  I had surgery in Jan and so far no intolerances to anything and doing great.

I have met a great many folks from So Cal and they are all WONDERFUL.  Please reach out and go to the Long Beach coffee and the Toms Farm event, you won't be disappointed.

Welcome Anne.  I'm Nancy aka Sunray from up North in Sacramento. Had RNY last March and have not had a single day of regret about having the surgery.  You've come to the best forum on OH (in my humble opinion LOL). Well I guess I will speak up for the men on this board and say welcome to the madness. The people you will meet and the friendships that will develop here are the best. There is so much support on this board......... People will tell ya how it is and thats the way it should be.

I had my RnY on 02/06/09 and have lost 170 pounds to date. Just hold on for an e-ticket ride.

I too like most everyone here is a dog lover. I have a all Liver German Shorthair pointer named "Kilo" (long story) and have had dogs all my life. I am a retired K-9 officer from a local law enforcement agency. Handled that land shark for almost 8 years LOL.

Hi Anne!  I'm  new here too and have never really formally introduced myself.

I live in Yucca Valley about 15 minutes up from Palm Springs.  I work at a residential chemical dependency treatment center in Rancho Mirage.  I had my gastric bypass on 10/19/09.  Married to the love of my life (most of the times ) and we have four  four legged babies - two cats and two dogs.  I am really grateful I stopped lurking this board and started participating, the people here are very supportive and I look forward to becoming even more a part of!

My name is Debbie and I live in the bay area on a little island.  I have 6 dogs, english springer spaniels that we hunt with and breed.  They run our property most of the day chasing our 9 goats, 2 cows various squirrels and try their best to get into the chicken coop when no one's looking!

I have 2 boys 22, 19 and a girl 10.  I've got a great supportive hubby who after 23 years of marriage is just about as well trained as our best hunting dog! lol

I am a newbie of 7 weeks today.  I had surgery Sept 16th, 2009 and am so grateful for this board.  You will gain so much for being here,  i am confident.
