Hey, Sis--I am so sorry you are still going through this, and I hope you get the authorization soon.  Although I have been MIA lately (crazy busy), please know that you are often in my thoughts, and that I hope the problem is solved once and for all!

OMGoddess. Will send prayers for you. I went to same bariatric group but my surgeon was Dr. Ali. Dr. Chin gave one of the talks @ the support group I attended and he was my second surgeon choice. I guess that makes us sisters of the table. hee hee

Can I ask why you need to use PCP for this issue versus the bariatric group?

Dr Chin actually wants to do a revision surgery.  I chose to go elsewhere for a second opinion.  When I saw a different Dr. out of USC, who happend to be a bariatric surgeon and a GI specialist, he said he was pretty confident that he could fix me without having to do a second surgery.  But because he is outside of my provider group, I have to get authorization from my PCP's office.  HMO's suck sometimes.  I am hoping to hear back from them this week.
