Ummmm......you are wrong about that!!!!  Elite runners do indeed have pacers.  They get paid lots of money to drop back a bit before the finish.  There are no rules about pacers.  Most marathons offer pacers to lead groups to the finish in a certain amount of time.

Once again... They are in the race.. They have signed up and started the race. They might not finish..

They don't jump in the race with 7-8 miles to go and start running... Maybe pacers are is not the right word?? Maybe racing cheats??? or cheating pacers??

Michelle enter at your own risk.  I think that you should sign up for a 1/2 marathon along with Javi.

After watching "The Biggest Loser" last night and seeing them do a marathon, with just 60 days of training. I am really thinking of upping my game. 5k's are just too easy for me now. I wanted to do the 10k or 1/2 marathon in Pomona for the 1st Annual LA County Half-Marathon, but I didn't have the registration money, so I am doing the next best thing--- Volunteering! I feel motivated and inspired to be around others that are so committed. Hey Woman! You never said how the turn out was for the SGV coffee! Im sure everybody wants to hear!

You definitely could run a full or 1/2 marathon!  Maybe not the full with only 60 days of training though.  Yes, they only officially trained for 60 days, but they had months of hard core workouts before that.  They were in great shape before their official training began and were probably running miles and miles a day without even realizing it.

That said......there's a new 1/2 marathon in February that you could totally be ready for!!!!!
