Morning Lena and Cali gang
Boy, do I hear ya on the NOT sleeping in :-(  I guess I have worked too many years, getting up at 6am to be at work by 7:30 or 8am.  The ole body just can't adjust to any changes on Saturday or Sunday.  Except now it's gotten worse...I wake up wondering what time it is before I have to wake up for real.  This morning I was awake at 4:45 just to check to see if it was 5:30 cus I had to be up early to finish packing for camping this weekend. LOL

I'm sorta sad to see 2009 leave us..it's been a wild year for us, starting with my surgery in March and the ride ever since ;-)  I have a $2mil miracle granddaughter to celebrate, reconciliation among family members, a job I love that just gets better all of the time and of course, the return to great health and energy for myself.  2010 has it's challenges: learning how to maintain this wonderful weight loss, working thru an in-law relationship that has 'gone south' without explanation, and for me, handling turning 60-it just doesn't seem real.

Tonight will be spent quietly..we don't do the party scene..may head to the lodge at the park and play some pool.  As in the past couple of years, will probably be in bed before the witching hour...unless there is a good movie on Starz LOL

I wish you all a Happy New Year...party hardy but safely...designate a driver and welcome in 2010 sanely!!

Good Morning Lola and Cali Crew!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful New Years Eve and Happy New Year! Be safe, Be happy, and Be blessed with family and friends!

Good luck on your last run of the year, Lola.

2009 was an up and down kind of year for me, but I love new beginings, and we get one each day!

Enjoy the Blue Moon tonight. That is when we have 2 full moons in a calendar month. The next time we have a Blue Moon on New Years Eve, won't happen again until 2028!! Sheesh, I will be almost 60!!! Wowee!

Huge New Years Hugs to everyone!

Happy New Years Everyone!!!

I am so ready for this year to be over.  It has been a rough one for me but I know things are looking better for next year already.  I have a co-worker that possibly has a car for me and another co-worker that is getting ready to buy some houses here in my area and he said he would rent me one real cheap.  He is not looking to make a killing in profits but wants to just help people.  He is a real nice man.  He kind of reminds me of my grandfather.  I don't really have any plans tonight.  My church is doing a family night with games and food but I have had this cold for days now and I think I might just stay home.  I am going to the grocery store after work and I will get some munchies for me and the kids and just stay home and watch movies.  I am only working until 1:00 today which is good.  I need to start my 3 day weekend.  The bosses bought us all lunch and I am just sitting here waiting for that to get here and then I can have lunch and go home.  It is so slow here today and I am completely bored!!

Time to get back to doing nothing!!  Have a safe NYE!!!  Remember to designate a driver if you are going out.
My great hope is to laugh as much as I cry; to get my work done and try to love somebody and have the courage to accept the love in return.-- Maya Angelou

Good Morning one and all....

Just got into the office.  I had my final doctor's appointment of 2009 and I can officially say my iron counts are FINALLY normal.  YEAH!!!!!!  Don't have to go back to the hemotologist for a full year unless my iron drops below normal levels.

So I'm kind of glad 2009 is going to be over.  It wasn't the best year for me.  Not the worst, but not the best.  Way too many health issues.  But that is all behind me now.  It's now on to 2010 and a brighter, healthier new year.

Tonight we are going to the Castaways Restaurant in San Bernaghetto with 4 of our very bestest friends.  I'm looking forward to a fun filled evening and then watching all the gun fire down below us at midnight.  Think I'll watch it away from the windows.  LOL  It should be a really nice evening though.  Tomorrow will hopefully bring some much needed rest.  I hope I can sleep in.

So don't know what time I'm getting out of work today.  Hoping it's not much past noon but the boss has yet to say anything.  I know he only has plans for dinner and a movie tonight so he won't be in any huge rush to get out of here and that could spell trouble for the rest of us.  As there are only 4 people here today, he just might make us stay.  I hope not.  I have to go home and get beautified.

Well everyone have a very safe New Year's Eve.  Enjoy yourselves.  Find a designated driver if you are going out.  And ring in the new year.

Stephanie

Good afternoon, Cali!!

I was up at my usual 5:30 AM this morning-last one for 4 days!!!

I, too, am sad for 2009 to end but really looking forward to 2010.  It has been a great year.  This time last year, I was barely even thinking about WLS and here I am down 115 lbs.  According to the charts, I have about 25 more pounds to go but I am very happy where I am now--how I feel and how I look.

Tonight is going to be a quiet night in with the kids-mine and my BF--5 all together! (What was I thinking)  Tomorrow, we will probably go to BF cabin up near Lake Piru.

Hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Years

Hey Cali,

We get to leave at 3pm today.  Yay!!!!

Tonight, I will be hosting a private party of three:
1. Me
2. Mr. Jack Daniels
3. Mr. Dick Clark

But wait, there's more... I will go for a 30-45 min run before the party starts.

Happy New Year.

Kim

Is Dick Clark back or do YOU think he's back after hanging with Jack?

Hey Cali,

May 2010 be a great year for all of us. I am so hoping I have a schedule that allows me more time to exercise. I went to a spa resort from the 27-30 and re-learned that when I have time, I like to work out. I am also hoping my mom's cancer stays away and that she can enjoy life without dealing with tons of medical problems.

I don't know what I am doing tonight, but just a few blocks from our house, people gather at the town clock and countdown the New Year together. There are usually thousands of people, drummers, dancers and a few people who strip naked and climb the town clock. It's always interesting!

Take care and have a safe New Year's.

My agenda today was a great 8 mile run......accomplished!  :-)

I'm showered and ready for a nap now.  Going to cook some lobster tails, pop some champagne, and watch movies tonight.

Happy New Year!
