Welcome Cindy and Happy New Year!  You have really come to the right place.  This board is so great.  The people are wonderful.  I would like to add your emotions are all normal and you will have them jumping all over the place after surgery.  Like Barb said some to this board with any questions or when you just need to talk.  Someone will have an answer for you.  Good Luck on your surgery!

Welcome Cindy..........I am so excited for you! 

I only have one piece of advice for your surgery....ask your nurse/doc for an abdominal binder for post op.  It will help you to do your walking and keep gas from building up.  
the hospital has them available but i didnt know to ask for it til later.   That was my only problem with surgery..........don't go home until you are passing gas and walk, walk, walk.

WOOHOO Cindy I'll look for you in Dr Fuller/Takada's office!!!  Ask the nurses for an air matress for your bed otherwise your back will hurt.  Your life is about to take a great change for the better.  If I can help in any way lemme know... I'm in Carmel Mountain Ranch so kind of centrally located in San Diego.

I live in Poway - just south of the hospital , less than a mile from CMR so we're practically neighbors.  It is nice to meet friends who live nearby that I can share this journey with.
