Prayers Please! I'm having RNY tomorrow at 7:30 a.m.
I hope you relax and enjoy this evening with your family and feel at peace tomorrow morning as you get to the hospital. I look forward to hearing the update on you tomorrow!
Lots of hugs and get ready for a great ride!

Please post when you feel like it and let us know how you are doing. I'll be worried about you.
As others have said, follow your surgeon's protocol. You will find that each surgeon has and says something different. It's best to follow their advice and their protocol so they can take good care of you.
I'm saving a nice warm spot for you on the losers bench, can't wait for you to enjoy this fantastic, healthy new lifestyle. We're here for you all the way!
Hugs,
Barb

I heard from Cindy's husband this afternoon, Orlando and he said Cindy is doing great! Of course, in some pain but doing well.
I know in just a short time she will come to LOVE her pouch! Surgery and the month or two following surgery will soon be a distance memory!
Talk to you soon Cindy!

Well, I'm home from the hospital and so happy that I survived my lap RNY surgery on Wednesday morning!
Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers! It was comforting to know that I had so many supportive people out there who cared.
My surgeon said he was very pleased with my surgery. Everything went smoothly - no complications and now it's up to me to make sure my recovery goes as smoothly. I'm still in a lot of pain and my husband Orlando (who got to stay with me at the hospital the entire 3 days - Scripps Green Hospital is like a resort and they rolled in his own bed). Having him with me meant the world to me and really helped me get through the surgery and immediate post-op recovery.
I have so many thoughts and observations to share but since I just got home, I need to rest first. But I will come back online when I have the energy and share my experience with anyone who is interested.
The journey has begun and as expected, the first few steps are challenging immediately after post-op due to pain, soreness and exhaustion. I'm sure I will begin feeling better quickly now that my drain is out (the most painful part!), my IV is out and I am home!
Now it's back to bed...
