I just have to give my doctor a shout-out because she is that wonderful. Everyone needs to know about her practice and if you need a good doctor in the Long Beach area she's your girl.

Dr. Malek is an excellent primary care doctor. She's pro WLS and if you need help getting approved her office was awesome and really helped me when I had insurance delays. They were also super helpful when I needed help getting my plastics approved this past year.

She has a large number of WLS patients under her care and understands our special needs and concerns. She runs my bloodwork for me, and you can talk to her about anything.

If she's who I think she is she used to be up here in the North state, Red Bluff. She is wonderful. I saw her a few times for other health related issues. But she suddenly left. Our economy is bad up here and the med. group she was with are flakey. They can't seem to keep any good docs in their practice.

thanks for the info! I looked it up and she takes my insurance. I been meaning to look for a new doc cause I don't like mine.

I have been a patient of Dr Malek's for well over a year.  She is great.....and Renee, her PA, is aces in my book, too.  VERY supportive of my wls surgery and my choice of RNY.  Have not seen either since surgery, as I am just barely 4 weeks post op.
