TOMS FARMS, Friday Update & Last Call
Wow... it is Friday already and our day at TOMS FARMS is TOMORROW people! Are you ready? Excited? I know I am!!!
This will be the last post for the event so be sure to reply here if you are coming or if you have changed plans and can't make it.
I am still seeking at least two more people for the Welcome Table and Clothing Exchange tasks. I know my volunteers will do a great job but will need to be spelled so they can hit the potty, grab a bite to eat and do a little wandering around and shopiing.
Anyone willing to donate some of their time tomorrow to help make this a successful event?
You and yours are cordially invited to spend an autumn day at Tom's Farms in Corona this coming Saturday, November 15th, from 9am to 3pm for a good ol' unofficial OH get together!
As this is the date of our Inland Empire Loser's support meeting...
we are having our November meeting at 10am at TOMS!
How cool is that?
We'll cover two topics this meeting.... "Vitamins" and "Focus On Your Holidays!".
I had set up an e-vite for this event but at this point I am bringing it to the board for organizational purposes. Please respond here if you want to/are coming or to ask for more information. I have posted some of those that responded below but need confirmations from them as well as responses from those I didn't have a record of.

The terms are the same. Usually TOMS FARMS requires a catered meal for a gathering BUT since we are a WLS group they are waiving that on the condition that our folks will purchase our food and drink at the various restaurants and stores there. All of us who have been involved with the TOMS events in the past know it's a good deal and thank TOMS for waiving this requirement.
So the bottom line is you can't bring any food or drinks with you.
Also NO ALCOHOL!!!
Stop at the Welcome Booth when you arrive to sign in and get your name badge(s). I need some folks to help with set up, to man the Welcome Booth during the event and tearing it down. We will also host a protein exchange here as well (protein, supplements and/or WL friendly snacks/foods that don't suit you). Bring your items and leave them at the booth when you arrive

There will be a clothing exchange. I will need volunteers to set up, tear down and take the leftovers to donate to charities.

We could use some easy-ups for the Welcome Booth and Clothing Exchange. I have two tables for the Welcome Booth and chairs so that should be covered. If anyone has some folding tables/card tables we can use for the Clothing Exchange area that would be a big help as well. Please post here if you can help out with these!

A lot of folks have asked how much and all I can say is whatever you can afford. I've never been stiffed by this group before so I am sure we will collect enough money to cover the costs... at least I hope so!
This is such a family friendly place, and event, I hope you can come and bring your kids, spouses, family and friends. You will all have a good time!

You can read about TOMS FARMS on their web site, the link is toward the bottom of my post above, and a great place to visit. Especially with the OH group there!!!
It is in South Corona, right off the 15 south of the 91, and easy to get to for us IE peeps.
As for cost there really isn't one for our event per se. I am asking for donations to cover the cost of having an event there so whatever you can afford and are willling to donate is appreciated. The only other expense would be for food and drink, should you decide to do so, and any shopping you do at the great shops they have there!
Hopefully you can come and join us. You won't regret it buddy!

Well I am sure there will be some folks still there but would assume, if I were you, that most will have moved on. We will be packing up by 2:30 so that we are out by our contracted time of 3pm.
I will leave it up to you whether it is worth it to join us that late in the event.
