Well, ya'll are probably at Tom's Farms right now, and man am I jealous! I miss you all terribly...

Wisconsin is beautiful, but freakin cold! The leaves are all colorful and falling to the ground in the most gracious way I've seen in a LONG time. I know there are parts of California you can go to so you can see the fall colors, like Julian and Oak Glen, but in Wisconsin it's all around. Immersive. The weather was nice when I first got out here, 70's even, but it has dropped to the 40's and 30's over the last week. There's been some rain, so hopefully there will be snow soon! I miss the snow most of all. Again, you can go to snow in the winter in California, but living in the Inland Empire, all you see is dust, and cars.

I've been watching the news on the fires in Orange County and am hoping everyone is safe and sound. I am praying for everyone in the affected areas, and for those that must transverse the 57 and 91 freeways. I talked to my DH today and he said all the freeways were closed because of the fires. I hate fire season. I know it's a fact of life in California, but so much gets destroyed and people can get hurt. And I do know that out of the fires come new life. I drove down the 241 a year after the fires down there, and there was so much green! It was nice to see that nature can recover so quickly from such a horrible trauma.

Well, I'm off to a birthday party for one of my mom's friends. I am thinking of you all, and wishing everyone a very happy, safe, weekend.

Cheers!
Paula K

Hey trouble!  Boom chica bow bow!  I made that sound to a friend at work the other day and she said, "You sound like the soundtrack from a 70s ***** movie!"  LOLOL  xo Take good care of you and we'll see you soon!

Hi, Paula!!  We are clear here in east Riverside county, but I guess the west end is a nightmare.  Our son outside Corona says he is fine there, too.

I am going to have to pay attention to this board, since our son lives right close to Tom's farm and I would have loved to meet up with some of you.  Well, maybe next time.  Paula,  stay warm.  Miss you!

Linda

My sister in law lost her home to the Corona fire. She lived in Green River. She lost  her first house less then 6mons ago to forclosure. Then rented this house in Green river and lost everything in her home except for pic, some clothes and a tv. NO renters ins.Talk about been hit hard. Two homes in 6mons. She also got stuck on the 91fwy. with fire storm on both sides of her. Fire dept had everyone turn around and go back. Her trip to OC took 12 hours. She called me when she was on the 91fwy panicing. She has panic attacts. I finely got her to calm down and ask for help. She did. She is in OC and safe at her mother in laws house. Thank God.  My thoughts and Prayers for all of California fire vicitums.  Keep safe!!, Cathy
