Good Thursday Morning Cali

Okay who is all doing the happy dance cuz there is only one more day of work after today??? MEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEME!!!!

Happy Thursday to all of you from out here in the gorgeous desert!

Yesterday morning I hopped on my motorcycle and zoomed down the highway to work....stopped at Starbucks as usual...(you know the one Rhonda and LuLu) and the older gentlemen in there who also ride said to me...come on Janine....call in sick and lets go riding....tempted but told them NO....so I go out to start my bike....DEAD! YIKES!!! So I called Jeff who came to my rescue...got to school LATE (oh darn) and guess what? It started right up after school and after leaving a friends house. Go figure, but I have to tell you....sure felt good riding even though it was not that far or long. My Starbuck friends want Jeff and me to go riding soon..so that will be on my agenda.

I think I told you guys that I had to go and buy new jeans to wear on my motorcycle as my jeans I have are not really good for motorcycle riding (too wide legged)...well I walked into my friends house and her husband who also rides....said...wow you look good in jeans...and all I had on were a pair of low rise levi's...nevertheless....it really made me feel good he would say something...I guess a little wow moment...okay I will take it!

When I got home and checked my email....I got this email from Laura's sister....you know the woman I did the mural for and I wanted to share it with you all:

Dear Janine,

I saw the picture of the amazing job you did on my sister's wall.  I don't know how to thank you for what you did.  Not only is it beautiful but the love seems to just jump out at you and that is what I am extremely thankful for.  As you know, when someone passes away it seems that often times they are forgotten except by those who truly knew them.  This wonderful mural you created insures that my sisters memory will live on.  My sister took a long time in finding her true calling - teaching - and then only had a few years to teach. Emilia Earhardt was the school she came into her own and absolutely loved the school so to have her memory live on there is truly fitting.

Thank you for all you have done and God bless you Janine.  I would love to get together when we get back in town and in February my parents will be there as well.  They have not seen your mural in person and are looking forward to it.

LuLu I hope you are feeling better and not coming down with an infection or something....too many cooties around a hospital for sure!

Steve....you will find a happy medium with the weight thing...just don't over do it and go down real far again because I think you look awesome just the way you are now!

Kick it into gear Shells and do not get complacent...it is easy to do so...trust me. Hope life in the bay area is treating you well these days!

Carol....might I make a suggestion? Please try and go on the 5 day pouch test and kick those carbs and really go back to basics with your wl program. I am telling you it really works and I have successfully kicked carbs for nearly a year now. You are by far going to sabatoge your wls and you are still in your honeymoon phase if I read your surgery date properly. I am not lecturing or pointing fingers...I hope you know this....I just want to see you be as successful as you can be. Breaking the carbs will help you break the cycle of snacking too. Remember nothing tastes as good as thin feels!

Ms.Shells you bet gf you are gorgeous!!! I love your attitude too!!! There is no stopping you and I love that board pic...but honestly...I still liked the cheerleader one!

Kim I hope your brother did okay with his angioplasty.

Julie...wow down 4 pounds...that is awesome!!!! That has to make you stoked and amped up to keep on going....plateaus really SUCK!

Joy you are just widdling that weight right on down for sure! You keep on going girl!

Kim S...that is awesome 1 month already and down like you are!!! How cool is that? Fatigue is normal after this surgery but within a couple of more weeks, your energy will pick up and then people around you are going to be saying...slow down Kim....take a breath..and you are going to be saying...why? I am out here living my life! Just keep up all the hard work.

Katt....you go girl on the wl...you are doing a great job. I love BB and have not been there at this time of the year...I should think about taking a stroll up there! Last time I was up there in mid summer on my motorcycle, we all had to run into a church because it was raining so hard....somehow they did not take kindly to wet white t-shirt look LMAO!

Melissa you are doing great and a big high 5 to you!!! Keep up that awesome momentum!

Dang Jan am I going to even recognize you when you come down next month? You are going to be a regular skinny mini for sure!!! Keep up all the hard work and the exercise!

Well anywho...all you newbies...welcome to the boards...all of you who are having surgery....we all surely wish you smooth sailing and to strap on those seat belts for the ride of your life! Remember gang why we had WLS...keep it in perspective and down with vitamins, water, and protien!!!

As for the rest of my situation, I have decided to do the separation in our own home. Meaning...I am moving out of our room and into my daughter's. At least for now, and if that isn't enough separation for me, I can still move out later. With the holidays around the corner, it just seemed easier. Plus he has already made HUGE strides towards changing and making HUGE revelations. He even went to church with me Sunday!!!! I think God is really working on him big time and it looks like my decision to finally leave, was just the nudge he needed to "wake" up to the realities!!! We are taking one day at a time and trying to leave the past behind us. He had his first counceling on his own today and it went well. He has promised to give me as much time as I need to be separated and let him work on his issues at the same time! And then, if I want to try again, we will "date" and see how it goes. No hanky panky in the meantime (not even kissing), only platonic hugs, hand holding (one of my many requests over the years that got ignored, but is now being initiated by him) and we still say I love you. He is working on getting me to fall back "in love" with him! I'm very at peace with our new arrangement and actually kind of excited about it. It is great to see God working in him and bringing the much needed change and healing!!! I think we might be ok in the end!!! Please keep us in your prayers and I will keep you all posted!!!

Hiya honey!! We did see it and it is a great movie! I've actually seen it twice.  I think the scene in the movie where KCameron becomes a Christian hit Mike more than I thought it did. It was such a GREAT explanation and presentation that I hoped it would hit him and at first I didn't think it did, but now that I think about it, I think it did!!!! :)
I think after he has some counceling under his belt and we've had some space, that he will do the Love Dare book. He's already talked about it and I told him to wait and surprise me with it later down the road.
GREAT movie for anyone, but especially those struggling with marital issues!!! It is playing in more theaters now too, woo hoo and PRAISE GOD!!!!

Good Morning Janine & Everyone,
Yep today is the day. I am a little nervous, but that is normal. I have to be there at 650 and surgery will be around 800.  I should be home and sleeping in the recliner by 130, lol. Mom is staying tonight so she can feel I am ok. Heck I know I am going to hurt, be tired and think what the hell did I just do. Just like right after my boobs. Worst part of it all, up, no coffee, nothing to drink, the nothing to eat part is easy. I'm not hungry but damn I am thirsty. Oh well off for my hibiclens shower.
