Talk about a long day.
The news on my sister was is so up and down I am dizzy. First thing this morning, the doctor says she has no change, then he says we think she might have a blood clot in her lungs, and that is why her O2 levels are so low. The after doing 2 test, they figure out she does not have blood clots. YAY!! But that her lungs are collapse and they don’t know why. And she has only about 1/3 of each side that is working. So he put a camera into her lungs and found that they are filling up with junk. I guess there are 4 half of the lung and the bottom 2 are not working at all and are filled up with junk and that is moving up to the top two. I hope that make since. Any way he tried flushing the junk out, and that didn’t work, so he put in a drain in her lung on the left side and if that seems to help, he will do the right tomorrow. I tried to come home for a refresh and renew but the doctor called me twice, asking if he could do this or that. So I tossed out my chicken soup, that was not settling all that great anyway, I headed back up to the hospital, and on the way, the doctor called once more, and I told him I would be there in 10 minutes and when I got there he hit me with having to put the tubs in her lungs to see if that would help.
When I left the hospital at 11:30 tonight, her O2 level was all the way up to 83, not good, but a tons higher then the past few days. So I hope he does the right side tomorrow and they are able to get her levels up into the 90s, (doc says he would like them to be 92 or higher)
I am going to head to bed and SLEEP!!! I have my coffee ready for the morning, and I am planning on getting up at 5 or so. Or theres about.
I hope I am able to give much better news tomorrow.
