Well today...business as usual? Not!!! Happy Saturday to all of you and I hope that you have survived another week of craziness if you were working!
I would like to know how many of you braved the stores yesterday? I know it was awful around my neck of the woods. Unbelievable to say the least.
I went to the Living Desert yesterday...took both of my grandchildren along with Ava'a mom and my friend...can you say OMG???? Pardon the pun, but it was a real ZOO!!! Even the guy in the store said he has never seen it so busy. It was filled with ill behaved kids, rude parents....and just downright craziness! We did not stay long...sad, but at least we live close.
So on the way home...we get a phone call from my friends son...there was a shooting at the Toys R Us in Palm Desert....we later find out that it was two guys who got in an arguement or something like that and shot each other to death right in the store. We had to drive by there to get home and there were so many cop cars, paramedics and firefighters there. This made national news if you can believe that one. And what about the poor Walmart worker who got trampled to death by shoppers when it opened? Gives new meaning to black Friday eh?
To end my day...well not quite end it...my son, James...Ava's dad had to go to the ER. He has been having pains bad in his stomach....had the stomach flu, but this has been going on for a while....his blood pressure was not good....and I guess he is going to have to be scoped on Monday as they are sure he has an ulcer. Only thing good that came out of this so far is that one his weight is down and two I have my little Miss Ava bear sleeping away in her room here...gawd she is so much fun...walking and talking..it has been a while since she has spent the night...I love it!!!
Lets continue to keep Luana's sister in our prayers....things sound like they are a little bit better, but we all know the power of prayers and her sister needs many of them!
Liz did you get out and do any shopping yesterday?
Sue how is your husband doing? Did you all have a good holiday? I think you said you had two places to go? And your weight...gf...you are still melting away!
Lisa I am sorry your Thanksgiving sucked...seems like all the worse happens around the holidays...meaning we get reminded of all the things we do not like about our families.
Nikki am glad you are drain and binder free! How did dinner go with the folks last night...was it yum yum? I bet you are feeling like your old self again in some respects...bet that shower felt hell of good!
Michele....OMG you are a nutball for sure!!! Did you get any good bargins? Never in all my years have I gone out the day after Thanksgiving to shop...as bad as the returns on the day after Christmas....no thank you!
Monica W....are you feeling any better? Many the holiday dinner was too rich for Jordyn. Anywho...one day you will look back on this grumpy tummy and be really glad you went through all of this!
Rhonda how are you and the kids feeling? I know my son's house was a barfing diarehha palace there for a few days....no fun at all! Guess you will be on the new job on Monday...good on you!

Barb that is so cool that you did that for your fil! I bet they were both happy considering the situation. So did you shop until you dropped?
So Katt did you get that computer that came with the printer? I saw them talking about it on the news....and does it have that sucky Vista? I am ready to throw mine through the window...does yours have that 64 bit processor? Good luck with running programs on it!
Dang Diane...I am sorry that you did not get your Doogie at dinner this year! Also sorry about that family dysfunction stuff...I know it all too well. How cool is that you got a all your dishes....I should have gotten up and gone to Kohls...hell I was awake at 1:30 and in fact saw my neighbors leave....me thinks they were off holiday shopping!
Becky glad you had a good holiday! So you are not a baker...or cooker....hmmmmmmmm I am not really either...but everyone says I do it good!! LOL Hope you got some much needed rest!
Joy I am with you about family and food and the whole holiday crap! Overrated for sure! Although I have to say that I am looking forward to Christmas with my grandchildren because to me that is what the holidays are for...kids and not all the adults!
Hey Chris S....how is that weekend job thing going at Costco? OMG wait until you witness all the craziness there in the holiday season....I went there this past week and it was the worst in my area with all the snowbirds....I think it should be hunting season here myselfLOL Glad you had fun with the grandkids...bet that filet migon was yummy!

Jodi...how are you doing? Yeah would you stay off the ground please unless you are there for a purpose. I hope you are not in too much pain from your fall. You have had a real rough year gf. What do the docs say about repairing you?
Jeni...how did your Thanksgiving go? You had an enormous crowd for dinner. I surely hope that everyone pitched in and helped you. I bet you and Dennis are about ready to take a trip in your RV and get some alone time now!

Morning Janine and Cali! Happy Holiday season . . . and omg last weekend at Costco I handed out 2263 samples of cream puffs (and only sampled 1 myself - that would have never worked a year ago!). . . I KNOW what you mean about crazy! I work today, but have tomorrow off . . . which with screaming kids here at home is a blessing???? Little man is out of control and constantly throwing temper tantrums .. . BIG ones - and it ain't fun! My son was the same way at this age ...hopefully it passes sooner rather than later!

Well, I am up and coffee is just about done. YAY!! I have already spoke with the nurse and my sister had a good night, and her O2 level did come up, and are hanging out in the low 90's but the best new of all is her lab level came WAY up. They where in the 40's and now they are as high as 120. So that means that her lungs are now moving the o2 in her body. So the tubs in her lung helped and the doctor is already planning to do the right. So that is good news.

i had a pretty good day yesterday , i went through the xmas stuff so i can decorate my tree when i move nexted week...i'm doing santa and frosty and silver, blue and purple bulbs.. i think it will turn out great.. i will take pics and put them up so you all can see.. this is my first xmas at my own house,, well it's been a long time...i did not do any xmas shopping yesterday but my sister did and she said it was beyond crazy...but she got a bunch of gifts taken care of...we're going to storage tomarrow to get a load to take to the new house on monday... we sign the lease monday morning... i can't wait it's gonna be soooo awsome.. i have a huge back yard and nice front yard so i'll be busy cleaning it up all the time.. i don't mind it though..so i'm not doing much today maybe get the last of my stuff packed...that's it for me today.. i hope everyone has a great day... and my heart and prayers are there for lu sister .. i hope she recovers nicely..
Well I am happy to be binder free and able to shower, but the swelling part is killing me. I know it is normal, but I hate it. Looking forward to another shower today. I do need to get some gauze and that for the incision care, I know Wal Mart is cheaper, but I dont know that I really wanna go there, lol. People will be out crazy all weekend I am sure.
Dinner went good last night and of course it was nummy. Today not really a lot planned, I have things I have to do, but I am just going to go with the flow. Then leftover Thanksgiving dinner at parents house.
Lots of rest and taking it east still. Hoping everyones days start getting easier. Hope everyone starts getting better.

Morning Janine and all! Tim is feeling much better, Janine, thank you for asking! xo He was off yesterday and did a bunch of stuff around the house and was pretty 
by the time I got home last night from work. Heading to our new little church this morning to help put up the 
Christmas decorations. They don't know Tim, he is Mister Christmas! LOL Then, after that, gotta swing past the store for a few things, taking the turkey carcass and turning it into soup, yum! I'll add some beans to give it some extra protein for this girl! I also need to brave Michaels to get the rest of the makings for my Christmas cards for the Christmas card exchange!!
Glad there is good news about Lu's sister, praise the Lord for that! Wahoo!
We're excited to go to D'land in a couple of weeks, can't wait to see all the decorations there! Ok kids, need to swallow the last of my protein shake (Muscle Milk, love it!!) and hit the rain room! xo Kim
