Janine & Cali Crew,

Good morning friends.  I wish you a wonderful day today.

Lu, so happy to hear the good news about your sister.  She has been on my mind and in my prayers.
Janine, you are so wonderful with your shout outs.

I did shop til I dropped yesterday but my friend Linda and I did manage to get so much shopping done and found some very good prices on things.

Today we begin de-Thanksgiving (taking down Thanksgiving decorations) and decorating for Christmas which will take the weekend.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Always,
Barb

Good Morning Janine and Cali Friends!

Oh My Gosh, we had a wonderful, wonderful Thanksgiving!!!   Carving Turkey My house was very crowded, but we had 3 tables and tons of chairs set up out side as well as 4 tables inside and you know everyone had a great time!  Absolutely NO Drama, we had fun, talked, laughed and everyone pitched in and helped......I have to say this was one of my Best Thanksgivings!!!

I adore my Sister's all 8 of them!!!  Sisters  Sisters  Sisters  Sisters  Brothers and both of my brother's came as well.  Mom had a great time too as all she was required to do is sit and enjoy her family! Grandma

I know there is a lot going on in the boards right now and I have been praying for all of you my friends.

Lu, I hope your sister pulls through all of this!  I continue to hold you in my prayers.   Jodi, like Janine says.....stay off the floor girl!  Please let me know what the doc says and Take care of yourself ok?  Lisa, stay strong things do always have a way of working themselves out!

I got some bad news yesterday.....  and that is Tommy's Dad says he quit his job!  He says he has made one mistake after another and now he is taking Tommy to Palmdale to live with his Mother.......get this....NEXT WEEK!!!

So another home, another school for Tommy!  Right now he is asleep in his room down the hall from me and I am going to cherish and make this weekend the best and most memorable that I can for us!  We are going to put up the Christmas tree together with Grandpa today and then maybe go to a movie and then I am inviting his Daddy over for dinner so that we can talk.  Wish me luck!!!

Have a great, great Day you guys!!!  Be careful out there if you are shopping! Elf

Good Morning Janine and Cali Guys and Gals,

Yesterday I spent the entire day in bed!  I think it is horrible what happened out there on Black Friday.  I finished my Xmas shopping before Halloween as I so hate the crowds.  I was feeling a bit better in the evening and remembered I had not gotten the kids their advent calendars.  So we took a quick drive over to the World Market and got them.  Thank God it was not crowded, we passed the mall and it was like a zoo.  They were bussing in people from far away parking lots it was so crowded.  I don't know why people would do that just to get a sweater or shirt for 50% off. it is just not worth it to me.  I started feeling sick again so we checked out came home and went to bed.  Today I have to drive my mother to see her sister in Long Beach.  I am not looking forward to that at all.  neither one are good company.  Negative Nellies I call them.  Nothing is good enough for either one of them and all they do is *****  Oh well, I guess it makes me appriciate my friends even more.  I am so glad to hear the news about Lu's sister, I hope today brings more good news.  We keep praying.  Janine so glad to hear you had fun with your grandkids yesterday.  Sorry it was so crowded and crazy.  I hope today does not bring anyone else barfing, as this is not fun.  The babies still have not shown any sign of getting sick yet and neither has my husband, but they are usually the last ones to get this.  I just want it gone as we have so much to do over the next few weeks.  Thanks for the wonderful shout out.

Took DD and her BFF to Target at about 6:30. Mervyns (what is left of it) and Big5 was open too, so we had a nice walk from the other side of town to get to the store. Got a Kodak digital pic frame for Dad's Christmas and a couple SD cards on sale. Other than that, FAHGETABOUTIT!

I told DD, "Keep this memory in the back of your head forever because this is the LAST time I get up at 5 AM on a holiday to stand in a line that wraps around the entire store!"

Hit Walgreens for some nice Yankee-wannabe candles, 3/7.99 to decorate the shelves above the kitchen cabinets. They look good. The ones lit at the sinkboard smell nice, too. :)

I LOVE leaving food on my plate at Tgiving! Tried the apple spiced pie at bedtime and of course went DIRECTLY to bed to sleep it off. lol

Hit the 90 pound mark yesterday! 7 mo. postop today. YAY!

Good morning Cali!!! Thanx for the shout out Janine!! =)

I didn't get the printer, as we already have 2. We just put the laptop on the network to share both printers. The laptop came with Vista Home, but it's the 32-bit. It also has an AMD turion processor, not Intel. I haven't actually been on it yet, as Matthew was configuring everything for me. The only thing I've done is tranferred some music from my desktop over to the laptop.

Today finds me going to my cousin's yard sale in Rancho Cucamonga. If you're in the area, stop by and say hi. The address is 10161 Magnolia Street. I will be selling a few items there as well.

I'd better scoot. I hope everyone has a great day. Don't forget those Vitamins!!! =)

Good Morning,

I am so glad to hear that there is some good news from Lu's post.  I have to tell you, her sister sure is a fighter!  I just wonder why it took the doctors so much to find out the problem with her O2 levels.

Dougie and I did Christmas lights yesterday, well Dougie did and I directed.  I am not good for much else.  Today my sister goes into the "CLOSET"!  It's a closet that in under the stairway and is hugh and is filled with all our indoor christmas stuff.  Because of Doug and my knees, we can't crawl, so we are thankful that she is always willing to do this for us.  I remember last year, Doug has just had his 2nd knee surgery done, and we just threw stuff in the closet, so it will be a mess today.  I'm telling you Dougie has been a godsent to me.  I tired to get into bed and sleep last night, I wanted so bad to get close and sleep next to him, well I made it about 2 hours, and I had to wake him at 1 am to get me back into the recliner, then at 5:46 for a potty run.  He has put up with me waking him all nite long for 7 weeks now.  I am not sure my patience are going to last much longer wearing this sling and bolster.  I need to take a lesson from Doug on patience.

Userlisa2, I am so glad you got your own home.  I have been meaning to tell you that, sorry I have been so laxed.  Jodi, bless your heart being out here posting.  I hope you are better, and can someone tell me where is Jean L?

Ok kids, I can say that to most of you cuz I am older, I am off to direct decorations again.

Love and hugs, Diane

Hi Diane,
Thank goodness you have help digging in the closet. I can immagine you trying to do it with one arm, Yikes!
Jean went to Catalina Island for a week. Not qutie sure when she left or when she'll be back but it shouldn't be much longer.
Have a great evening and give that Dougie an extra smooch for taking such great care of you!

I know, both of us trying to do all this alone.  We decided next year nothing, maybe a tree. He will be 67 in april and I think he is just getting too old to be climbing around the ladder and roof line.  Time to hire someone to do this crap.  I will always be indebted to my baby sister, she goes in and out of the closet once a year for us.

Take care, Diane

Hey Janine and Everyone! Janine, I really appreciate your "shout out" to check up on me. The panic attack that night seemed to be an isolated incident and I survived the next day despite having been up since 3:42 in the morning. I have the Xanax stocked and ready in case of future episodes ... Getting through my mom's birthday and Mother's Day were difficult, but this holiday season stuff is a different story. I was thankful to work on Thanksgiving and have something to (mostly) keep my mind off my mom ... But I don't have to work Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, or New Year's Day ... I am not looking forward to them at all. I know my nieces will be the bright spot in our family's Christmas this year, but it is going to be extremely difficult.

Aside from that, nothing new happening here. I am still having trouble eating, but I see my surgeon in a couple of weeks so I'll wait and talk to him about it then unless it gets worse in the meantime.

Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend ... Think of me ... I will be at work, scanning documents for ten hours for the second day in a row ... I cannot WAIT til Tuesday! (That's my next day off.)

Love to you all!
