Good Thursday Morning Cali

Good morning Janine and California!

I'm up early to let our neighbor's cat out.  No way I was leaving him outside for the night.  It's to darn cold!  I'm heading back to bed after this post! 

Yesterday we picked up a friend from Santa Rosa airport.  He's just getting back from Hawaii.  He flew right into 30 degrees of cold California weather!  Talk about a shock. lol  It was slow going to get there, ice everywhere..but the hills were beautiful.  It looked like an east coast winter post card. 
You do know that that's the best place for snow, right? On a post card! lol

After that we stoppd by Heart and Sole to exchange a pair of running shoes.  I went last month and they had me try 2 pair.  One pair is wonderful, the other made my back hurt.  Since I've been running indoors, they exchanged the pair that hurt for another pair I liked. Yaaaaaaaaay!

Then we went to Sears and looked dumbells.  They didn't have any that had a small enough grip for my hand.  So off to Play It Again Sports to look at a used recumbent exercycle.  Unfortunately the pedal stck every rotation so I didn't get that.  I did admire 2 others.  One was a walk through with an uncomfortable seat, the other was a non-walk through with a comfortable seat.  Why didn't they have a walk through with a comfy seat?  I'd have bought one of those, lol  Ive decided I can't just sit and watch TV at night so I'm looking at getting one to up my activity a bit.  I did find the dumbells I was looking for there, yaaaaaaaay! 

Then we dropped by a junkyard our friend wanted to go to.  He picked up a few things for a project he's working on.  Then we went to an electronics store to pick up some connectors for our 2 meter ham radio.  I want to move where the antenna comes in so it's not so cold in the livingroom.  DH pulled it through a window 2 years ago and put in weather stripping, which is fine when it's NOT 30 degrees outside, LOL

We were off to CostCo then so our friend could exchange a weather station.  Good thing, they have an extra $20 rebate on them now.

Then we stopped at a chinese buffet and had lunch, it was 2:00 LOL  So much to do, so little time.  I had tastes of several things.  It worked out well.  I admit I was a bit afraid to go in.  I've always eaten too much at buffets.  Having to go slow and take one thing, then go back really helped.  I didn't eat too much and got several things packed with flavor. :-)

OK, now we're off to Big 6 t return the weights I bought right after the San Ramon Event.  The grips were too bug for me.  Wen I did the dead lift, they practically fell out of my hands. 

On to the eyeglass place.  I can finally see again!  It was very strange.  I hadn't had new glasses in 5 years.  I was long overdue.

Finally we headed for home.  As we drove along the coast we were treated to a lovely sunset, stopped at the post office to pick up the mail and went home to open more Christmas Cards.  Thank you all!

It was an action packed day.  Today is a tad slower paced.  Laundry, pack, have lunch with a friend and pack the car.  Tomorrow we hit the road again.

good morning janine and cali friends,
i'm just sitting here thinking about what i'm gonna do first today...it's cold out here in modesto..it's suppose to rain this afternoon.. so i'm gonna try to get to my moms house before it starts to rain...gonna do laundry there and stay the night.. i have to go to my daughters school tomarrow and find out what is going on with her...she's acting up in class.. she's 8 and she's become a bad girl.. i think she needs to come live with me.. but her dad is a D***.. anyway got to get going.. i hope everyone has a great day..

Mornin folks!

Not a whole lot going on for me today...work and then going to make a trip or two over to the storage unit to get some stuff we have scattered around our friends house out of the way. I am trying to get pretty much everything into the storage unit so that it's all in one place to move next weekend!

Other than that...nothing exciting!

It's just COLD....for the first time in my entire life I have UNDER garmets under my clothes.  I have on closed toed shoes with socks =(  I almost that's right ALMOST want my 100lbs back.  BUT a NSV for me.  I have on this piece of lingerie that I bought the other day...size LARGE under my shirt.

I'm grown and sexy today, lol!!  Stay warm and safe!!

Hey everyone!! I am alive and doing beter, still not 100% but on my way. I am doing the rest of the "tree" (Mom calls it my fig twig tree...you will see why when it is done I will post pics) Anyway, the virus is losing the battle and the fever blisters are starting to heal and the blaader pain is under control. So, for the most part things are looking up.
Laundry and tree today and cookies for my Dr. tomorrow to be delivered Monday.
It is colder the a witches boobie here but at least it isn't snowing. My oldest son has 10 inches of snow in Henderson NV...115 degrees in the summer and snow in the winter, ho's that for season changes.

Well, stay warm Cali...it is nice to be among the living again.
