Good Saturday Morning Cali...it is going to be a busy one for all of you today I am sure!

I know a bunch of you are going to be shopping your butts off planning the last minute do da's of the holiday season. I would NOT want to be at the mall today for sure! I had to stop there yesterday to find something and OMG I hated it and it was on Friday in the mid afternoon! YUCK!

Okay so who all of you have done some baking too? Did you go NUTS???? I have not baked yet...did make some yumalicious fudge and I can say this because I have made this recipe for over 30 years! I HATE chocolate! Now is that sick or what?

I went to a party last night hosted by Dr. Katzen and saw Monica Ganz there. REmember her everyone? I was super surpised to see her. Had a great time, but the traffic for me coming into LA sucked big donkey you know what! LOL

It is very cold here in the desert and still looks like a winter wonderland. I am hoping that my over worked husband can take the day off tomorrow and we can go up to Pioneer town or to Joshua. I am going to not be too happy if I miss going to Joshua at the Solstice time...killer pictures at that time of year!

LuLu...how is DD getting along and how are you doing? I know it must be a big adjustment having to take care of sis....let us know how you both are doing.

Steve...you have been MIA a lot....I sure hope that everything is okay with you.

Jean...you look positively awesome. The other day I looked at your profile and I was stunned when I saw your before pic. I cannot remember you looking like that at all. You are so pretty and I am so happy for you!

Lola are you out running today? I bet all that running surely keeps you warm in these cold temps!

Kristin and Kevin...does that mean you are out running too?

Liz are you able to bike now? I bet there was a LOT of snow up there in Palmdale.

Rhonda is there hell of snow all over Hesperia? My son's friend who lives in Victorville could not make it home the other night and had to spend the night with my son and his family. They were saying on our local news that this storm was the 50 year storm.

Chris S...isn't this your last day at Costco? I am sure it is going to be a mega zoo there for sure! I do not envy you and make sure you have your "space" gf! Hope you are feeling okay too!

Moncia how did Jordyn like Santa? My friend sent me these pictures of kids who cried their heads off with Santa. I want to take Ava....Hunter has already gone and the kids had Hunters picture put in a snowglobe...how cool is that? Are you just so excited to be on vacation again?

Sue how did Sammi's party go? You're really a partying fool right now! Although I have no room to talk...I been going to parties 2 a weekend myself and have another one tonight! YIKES...and don't EAT candy....you wanna stay where you are at gf!

Michele it looks like you are going to do some great traveling over the holiday. I love Jamestown. Do you know that Joy lives there? Would be a trip if you got to meet her while you were there!

Speaking of JOY...how are you doing? Are you in a lot of pain? I sure hope not and I sure hope that this bladder operation is a winner this time for you! Keeping you in my prayers hoping for a speedy recovery!

Nikki that really sucks that you have to work on Christmas but the alternative...well we know what that is. It won't be that bad I am sure....sometimes it is better to keep out of all the family dynamics the holidays bring on...and no I am not implying anything about your family...just a broad general statement! I hope you get holiday pay for having to work. Oh btw...when you're done wrapping gifts you can slide on out here and wrap the crap at my house. I hate wrapping presents.

Jan you really are doing amazing with your tool there gf. Solidly in onederland and the exercise regime is off the hook. I am so proud and happy for you. With all that exercise you ought to be staying warm for sure!

Maureen if I did not see Jayden in your writing, I would have NEVER recognized you. Your avatar is a keeper. You are looking great. I sure hope that the state gets the budget fixed not only for Joe, but for schools. OMG it is so BAD BAD BAD. I hear they want to scroll back the budget for schools to when prop 98 passed my son was saying...that means no electives!

Hey Janene...I sure hope you have a great time out here on your trip...make sure you bring some warm clothes. It should only be in the 40's at Joshua. No one realizes this but there are some places out at Joshua that are at nearly 5,000 ft. We all thing of the desert as being flat....but NOPE! It be cold! Have loads of fun and like you said no family disasters girl!

TurtleGirl...now how awesome is that that your coworker did that for you? That is the true spirit of giving..when you least expect it. YOu are doing great and you know...stop hiding out...we are all going through rough times and this place is a place for support no matter what it is girl! You are doing awesome and I am sure it is hard to wrap your head around things sometimes...like 40 pounds to doctors goal...WOOHOO!

MysticWalker....WOW is all I can say!!! You have really been through an ordeal, but it sure sounds like life is back on track for you in a super good way! I am happy that your health is good and that you're being published. How awesome is that and you have so much to be thankful for!

Good Morning Janine and Cali,

Jordyn did great with allowing santa to hold her long enough for me to take 4 pics but they are sad.  Santa is not looking in 2 and Jordyn is not looking in 3 so I got 1 pic with both of them looking at the same time and of course no smiles but I will take it. 

Today we are headed to coffee and then to run a couple of errands.  Then we will be shut in for days.  Am I happy to be on vacation? You bet.  Even though I have only worked the last 3 weeks, it has made me stringer but also showed how weak I still am so the next three weeks will get me back in prime shape.

A snow globe sounds awesome.  I would like to put the pic on a first Christmas ornament for her.  I still need to find one unless Grandmother has already done it.

I tried to give my hours away today at Costco, but she said "let me just put you on earlier" . . . ok . ..that is a BIT better . . . so I can be on my way to Yorba Linda at 4:30 instead of 6 pm . . . then off to Vegas tomorrow.  Wahoo!

Great Shout out Janine!  I think we got 18 inches of snow.  City was not prepared for that at all.  Today is the Long Beach coffee and I get to see my angel and Becky that should be fun.  I was born and raised in Long Beach so it will be fun.  I checked the weather and it says no rain or snow today so I am going to go to the coffee.  I have a few stops on the way back also that I want to make.  It should be fun.  I am taking my Lexie with me and and my son Mike and his girlfriend.  So I won't be alone if it does snow horribly.  lol.  I don't like making that long of a drive alone really.  Well that is all for now.  I need to jump into the shower and prepare myself for our journey.  Talk to you all later.  Janine I can't wait to hear all about your party last night, pictures?  I hope so.  You have a super day.

how is everyone doing? i'm doing ok i still have a ton to unpack.. it's so cold here in modesto but there's no ice so that's cool.i finally got new dish soap so my fingers can heal up.. i got my daughter all week i have to bring her to her dad's on xmas day and then i get her back on sunday for a big party at my mom's house..well that's about it for me today...everyone have a great day...

Good cold and freezing morning from the high desert.  It is only in the 20's.  For some reason I need to go shopping.  Bought for everyone but my hubby and son.  Janine, it is too cold to go out and ride let alone still blac**** out there.  I know what it feels like to fall on the bike.  Hellllllllllllllllllllllllll no.  Thank god the triathalon happened before. 
We, have news from Palmdale.  My son asked his girlfriend to marry him last night.  I am so happy for them I could just bust.  They came by last night after coming from her folks house to show us the ring.  She was so cute she kept giggling.  He stood up in this restaurant here in town and asked her to stand. She was telling me I told him I am not dancing with you here. So she reluctantly stood up and he got down on one knee and asked her.  This place is a nice place and not big on fridays they have a guy who plays flute and sax.  Phillip used to work there so he told the guy and the people who own it he was going to propose so when  he did the musician announced it I guess and everyone stood and clapped for them.  He is so happy and so is she. So in 09 there will be a wedding for us. 
That was a happy ending to my icky week.

You're right this today is going to be a crazy day...trying to get all the last minute stuff done and also get all my baking done.  I also want to take the grandbabies to see Santa, but maybe tomorrow.  I still have 3 more days of work, but that will give me enough time to rest before the traveling....

Mentioning Joy...yes, I know she lives in Jamestown and I am going to try to hook up with her.  The wired thing is she lives just down the street from my sister-n-law.....Joy...if you read this I'll be calling you....

BTW:  Monday I go in for an ultrasound for the lump I have in my armpit.  Please keep me in your prayers.  I just pray that it's nothing.  I know they won't know anything Monday...I guess I’ll have to wait until after the first of the year...Boy, this waiting is a bummer!!!

Hi all!  Up early, just got out of the rain room, drinking my protein, taking my vitamins and petting my sweet girl Chloe who just jumped up next to me on the couch.  I think it was more of a "Mom, Dad is sleeping, feed me!!!"  lol  Anyhow, need to put the face on, get dressed and head up to North County Fair (mall).  Becky and I are meeting there before we head to Long Beach!!  Wahoo!  Man, that pic of Jean that she posted...I need to drag one of my befores out and post it side by side...I saw a pic of me from a holiday faire we had at work and I thought, man, you still look fat, but in comparison...lol  Ok everyone, have a terrific day and we'll see the LB peeps soon!! xo Kim
