My WLS Complication Update

Well I can totally relate to this one Gus. I get the same thing where I get a "kink". It hurts like something fierce... the first time I went to the ER they said it was just gas because all my CT's, Ultrasounds etc. came back normal. After 8 hours in the ER, they said all it was was gas. Basically I was just full of Sh*t is what they told me. Literally. Anyway, I went to a surgeon and told me I also had a kink and that if the pain became more frequent he would have to go in there and fix it. I get the pain now and then and have learned that the only thing that fixes it, is going to sleep and taking a sleeping pill. I am so sorry you are going through this- I don't think mine is as bad as yours or as frequent, but I can totally relate to your pain. It hurts more then childbirth let me tell you! Hang in there Gus. You are a superstar and you have a lot of people that love you.

Thanks for the well wishes but those fuck'n kinks HURT!!!!  I'm glad I'm not alone and I hope something gets fixed.

Gus, sorry to hear that.  What comes to mind is DX.  I think you remember him from the Men's Forum.  He went through the same thing (I think his problem was undigested carrots).  He is out of computer range right now...working on a production in Portland OR.  As you and many people know, DX is probably the most knowledgable person alive on WLS and it's complications (even more that most doctors).  When he gets back, look for him at the Men's Fourm or over at Quixotic (sp).  He could have some great insight.  Brian

I am so glad you are following through with this.  Kinks are nothing to mess with.  They can be life threatening.  I am also glad to see plan A-C.  It shows you are all thinking ahead.  Please keep us updated on the testing/progress.  Happy New Year to you and Anna!

((GREAT BIG HUG GUS))  I truly hope they can figure it out with out having to go in for exploratory surgery, but if that is what it comes down to, wouldn't that be much better than being sick all the time..

I hope the tests prove helpful in resolving your pain.  I've read about the pill cameras.  Pretty cool technology!  I'll be keeping good thoughts for you.  Good for you for keeping on top of things and insisting they DO something!
