Happy new year everyone!  It's so wonderful that you all have made it to see another year.  While it's a new year it's also a new day to CHANGE your lives for the better.  Whether you ended 2008 on a high or low note that was YESTERDAY and now we all have a CHANCE to make not only 2009 a banner year but today.  It just takes that commitment and determination to make every meal and every moment the best moment of your life!!  With that spirit in mind when my friends called me to wish me a Happy New Year...I said...let's get started on our walks =) 4 miles and I'm exhausted but in an awesome way!!

Exercise - well not technically but put all the xmas decos away and cleaned house and was up and down the step ladder so I think that counts.

L:  Black Bean Mini Turkey Burger (2 burgers)
S:  1/2 Power Crunch Protein Bar triple chocolate
D: 
Pumpkin Soy Protein shake

Water 65.8 oz
Exercise:  30 minutes bouncing on rebounder
Vitamins:  Multi; 1500mg Calcium; b-12, iron

The turkey burger was very moist and I had no trouble gettig it down so I'm supplying the recipe.

Black Bean Mini Turkey Burger

1 15 oz can black beans
1 T dried green onions
1 tsp cumin, & pepper
1/4 tsp sea salt
2 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
1 lb ground turkey breast

1. Blend first 6 ingredients in vitamin, food processor .
2. mix turkey into gredients in a small bowl.
3. Heat up George Foreman grill and make have of the mixture into 9 patties, then the 2nd half into 9 more patties.
4. Grill the firt 9 patties for about 5-6 minutes, then the 2nd 9 patties.
Lastly, enjoy!

   Thank you for the recipes---- it was so much fun and inspiring to meet you!!! I wonder if you can freeze these patties----either cooked or not---cuz that's a LOT of patties for just me and my DH--what do you think?????

I made a half batch and froze some, so I'll let you know in a few days.  It make 18, but they're SMALL.  2 or 3 is a meal for me.  You could make hubby sized ones and WLS sized ones, which is what I did for Chris. :-)

I did add an egg, put them in silicone cupcakes and baked them at 350 for 30 minutes.  They were just as moist and good.

I don't see why freezing them would be a problem.  The next ones I'm going to vary the spices. I'm liking these a lot because hamburger is still too dense for me to keep downl
