An UGH Moment,

Cali Board Friends,

Ok, the time has come to come out from behind my saxophone and face the music!  New avatar pic!

Actually, one of our closest friends works for a company that makes a device that measures body fat.  Geez, talk about a UGH moment.  I asked him if I could get in and get measured before my surgery and of course he said sure.  Well, it sure wasn't pretty and my hubby (with my approval) took pics as I stood there in my swim suit and OMG it was an eye opener.

But on the positive side, this is why I am going to surgery on Thursday and isn't it a blessing that there is hope for a healthier new me, and more wow moments as I get happier with my own healthier body image.

I thank you for all your warm words of support, prayers and thoughts as I get through this week.  I am nervously excited.  Tomorrow I'm going to do my final post op vitamin and protein shopping so that everything is in place.  I'm gettin' ready for this wild ride.

Always,
Barb

Hi Barb, wow, bless your heart for being brave, but you're among friends who have been there, done that...here...trust me.  xo  I wish I could turn back the hands of time and do the same thing, my husband offered to take a pic of me and to measure me and I would've been totally safe as well with him, but I just couldn't face it.  I'm so excited for you, to share your journey, you'll be in my prayers leading up to Thursday, you're going to be fine!  Much love and good wishes!  xo  Kim

Sweeny,

I sure will.  My wonderful angel Lola sent me a huge sample of protein powders so I do have lots but she suggested I get some ready to drink too.  I thank you for your advice and one thing I thought I would try is asking if they will take it back if I don't like it.

I so appreciate your positive thoughts and prayers.
