Good TGIF Morning to all of you!
Good Morning Janine and CA Folk...
I have a three day weekend in front on me... whoo hoo! And, let's not forget the reason for this holiday... Martin Luther King. I challenge everyone to think back on his famous speech, and in particular with Tuesday's Inaguration - this line:
"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."
I think, as nation, we're getting closer and closer to making this dream a reality. What a wonderful thought - people not being judged by the color of their skin, their religion, the size of their bank account, their weight - but, on the content of their character.
On to the weekend... we're throwing the bike's in the back of the car (my new car) and driving down to San Diego to ride. I really want to get back into bike riding, as I need to start exercising. Sunday, we're celebrating the one-year anniversary of our first date by going back to BJ's, where we met, and watching football.
I'm going to continue my committment to writing my food intake down, and measuring - very enlightening. (darn that coffee creamer adds up) I'm looking forward to making my first Wacky Weigh-in Wednesday report a loss!
Be well...
- Patty
Good Morning Cali,
Janine- love the new pic. Super cute.
Cali- Last night I went shoe shopping at Lohmann's. They have extra 50% off all red -tag clearance. Well, I have some $$ in my bra and at some point it was no longer there. I patted and felt and could not find anything there. I started frantically looking to see where I dropped my money. Didn't find it. I was so sad and mad at myself for being foolish enough to put $$ in "the vault". I went to put my shoes down on a bench and decided to open my cardigan (I had it tied tightly around my waist) to check inside my bra and I found my money. It had slipped out of my bra between the outside of my blouse and the sweater. I was so relieved. After that, I put the green-backs into my purse.
Plans for this weekend is tonight, I have to go buy a circular needle for a project that I am working on. Saturday, I am scheduled to donate blood, go to Angela's last supper in Century City and go to a birthday party that evening. Sunday, I might go to a bead show in Pasadena. I have Monday off, so I have nothing planned.
Everyone have a great weekend.
More Love,
Kim
Janine what a great picture, so cute. Actually, I don't go back to wor****il Jan 26th so I have a nice loooonnnnggg week ahead. The unfortunate part is that next week I need to get my resume spiffed up because I will need to use the next 5 months to job hunt. Due to budget cuts, my job with the school district will end June 30th. SO, if anyone in Northern California knows of anybody looking for a workers' compensation manager, or benefits administrator or human resources generalist, please let me know. I come with excellent references and experience.
This weekend, football at our house. I hope everyone has a great day and wonderful weekend.
Jenn, I hope you're feeling better soon.
Hugs,
Barb
