My day at the plastic surgeon

Well today was the day I had to have pictures taken by the plastic surgeon for my insurance company.  I have to tell you, how humiliting!  But it didn't show my face so what the heck.  I told the doc, so how do they know that this is my body and not a subsititute?  She said no one has ever asked that before, she said, well you are right, they wouldn't know.  Maybe before I get my TT, I can rent all of this skin out for pictures! (jk)

So now we wait and see...keeping my fingers crossed.

What are they using to get the insurance company to even think of paying?  Do you have to have a medical probelm?

Well it's the amount of skin that is hanging.  Can't see my hoohoo because it hangs so low.  Guess that is why they may pay for it.  Doc says there is at least 10 lbs of tummy....such a pretty picture huh???

Diane- I had 10 pounds removed in August.  What a relief!  My insurance deemed it medically necessary.  They haven't paid up, but I am hoping to get reimbursed soon.  GOOD LUCK!  You will be so happy to be rid of it.

So funny you called "it".  I am thinking of naming the dang thing!

Thanks, it's gotta feel great, did you find any difference in your lower back at all?

Yes, a lot of relief in my lower back.  However, I had my hysterectomy at the same time, and seem to be having a lot of upper back stiffness since August.  I think I just need to use my muscles more.

I am hoping that it releves alot of my back pain.  WOW you really went through it all at the same time!  What a trooper!

Thanks so much, Diane

Good for you Diane,  You will have a brand new figure after the TT.  I had one after my first WLS and they took off 16lbs of skin!!!  It is a little rough to recover from, but so worth it.  Enjoy.  Terri
