I'm Back with a story
I guess most of you know I went on whirlwind trip to San Francisco...my native town!
I stayed at the Palace Hotel...OMG...we got the place compted from a friend....luxuary is not even the word for it. President Harding died in that hotel which I got to see the room, the grand Crystal Court and the French Palor where the ladies had to go when the men where down in the Crystal Court. It was quite an experience. Oh and the Palace was built originally by my son's something William Ralston....got a picture of him and this is no duh....you can tell my boys are Ralston's.
I ate at this restuarant in North Beach Rose Pistole...if you ever get a chance....go it is divine!
Bad part of the trip is that because of my brothers inconsiderate behavior, I bagged some people on not seeing them because I kept waiting for him and truth be told...he broke my heart a bit.
On the way up to SF it took me 11 hours to get there from Palm Springs because the weather was so hideous. Raining like a mother and hit tully fog too....YIKES!
Well on the way home yesterday, my friend and I stopped at In and Out for a protien burger in Kettleman City (it was just off the I-5) and who walks in...SEAN PENN and his wife Robin Wright PENN. Well he said something to her when he knew that I knew who he was. My friend talked to Robin and ask if we could talk to him.
Well we did and to make a long story short....my friend was gushing and I stood back...she was telling him that she had not gotten to see his new movie Milk, but I had. He turn to me and I told him what an outstanding movie it was and how he nailed Harvey Milk in all ways. I was living up there when Harvey Mild was shot by Dan White, He smiled. I told him I hope he wins the Oscar for his portrayl that he did an outstanding performance. He extended his hand out the window of his truck past my friend to me and shook my hand and with a big heartfelt grin said thank you to me.
Now what about that? How cool is that? I never approach actors and I see plenty of them here where I live, but I half way did yesterday and glad that I could tell someone without acting like a star struck teenage girl that I impressed.
It will make this roundeavu to SF a memorable one for a long time!!!
PEACE OUT KIDs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“When you find peace within yourself, you become the kind of person who can live at peace with others.” –Peace Pilgrim (1908-1981).
How cool is that? You would think you would have let your good buddy know about this before you told the world! lol. Sounds like a fun experience. Who would have known? Glad you had such a super trip and got to be spoiled a bit while you were there. I can't wait to see the pictures. Talk to you soon.
