For Cheaters not Chickens!
Okay ladies and gent's we are on day 2 of being Back on Track! How was everyones day yesterday? I hate to fight the mind F#$king all night. I do well during the day but I tell you from 8 pm on I have a hard time. I found myself going in and out of the kitchen in search for who knows what. I kept drinking hot tea to curb my head hunger but it WASN'T working. I finally fell asleep at about 1:30am.
What is on the agenda today?

Yesterday was a good day. I was proud of myself for drinking all the water, especially since it had all that protein in i****er is always a challenge for me.
I too get the munchies at night. Except right now there's not much food in the house. I brewed a small pot of decaf coffee and added some fat-free creamer to sweeten it a bit. The coffee helped, but it was no christmas cookie.... just being honest.
I kept myself fairly busy last nite..had support group where I actually drank all of my 16oz Propel water. Had my chicken plus veggies for dinner before the meeting so that held me over. I did have a Quaker Chewy Low Fat chocolate Chunk as a snack while carving..but I take that into account when calculating my calories for the day so don't consider it 'cheating'...it's the chips, pretzels, trail mix, etc etc that I don't calculate in that gets me in trouble. After I finished my Christmas ornament, I then picked up the crocheting...busy hands stay out of trouble! LOL Tonight will be the test...carving club Christmas dinner..and the best I could do was pick the Chicken Cordon Bleu for a main dish...but chicken, bacon, cheese..that's all good, right?? It is protein ;-) I've already turned away from the donuts...so maybe today will be a good day ^_^

Lola,
I hear you on the head hunger. Now that I am not feeding that head hunger as much, I am realizing how often my thoughts go to food. It's maddening. I am hoping the less I feed it, the less I'll think about it. UGH! I've been using sugar free popscicles, decaf sugar free chai, and playing piano to stop the urge. It's frinckin' hard though!!!!
Today I was at a luncheon. I ate a couple of protein heavy appetizers, but passed on the bread and the dessert and ate until I felt satisfied and only ate the veggies and the salmon. While everyone was eating what looked like an incredible dessert, I sipped on my very doctored up cup of decaf coffee. Luckily it was easy for me to do this today. In fact it almost felt good.
Hang in there! I am glad you wrote in about this. It gives us all a chance to vent frustrations and challenges!
