Embarssing Question

This is gross but here goes. All of the sudden my poops are smelling really bad. I am stinking up the house bad. Is this normal or should I contact my surgeon? I understand that it is supposed to smell like **** but this is horrible! Thanks for the advice.

I would call to play it safe............blood in the stool could smell bad....but then so do some of my protein shakes!

I have been eating a lot of beans lately. Refried beans, kidney beans and black beans. You know it started when I started drinking a new protein shake. The 60 gram protein from GNC. I will check the carb count. It only has 3 grams of sugar. Thank you!

Yep, the beans could be the culbret..but I find that Malititol (sp) a sugar subsititute, can also cause the smellies :-( But it never hurts to call the doc's office and check it out. After all, that is what they are there for!
