Topic: RE: Can you reccomend a WLS Supportive PCP?
Welcome to the most amazing journey you will ever be on. 1st of all remain positive and surrond yourself with positive people. You've come to the right place. I have Dr. Eric Schwarz, who's office is in Yorklyn, DE. He is associated with Christiana Car, which is a plus. 302-234-5770. He has been awesome no matter what I have wanted. He supported me when I wanted to have a sleep test over 12 yrs ago, WLS, knee replacement and other issues. He is young and listens to me and we discuss issues. I would highly reccomend him and his collegues.
Good luck on your journey. Try to come to a support group meeting near you. Email me and I will send you the Delaware list. [email protected].

So week 3 is just completed for the Walk It Off sponsored by Delaware Online and supported by Christiana Care. How many of you are still pounding the pavement? This is an easy way to keep track of your miles and possibly when some cool prizes. What's your excuse? Ah, I'm tired. Me too, get over it and start walking!

Topic: Can you reccomend a WLS Supportive PCP?
Hi All! I am new to the area and new to my insurance (Phsycians Care of Delaware Medicaid). I have been to the CHRIAS groups seminar and am wanting to pursue WLS with Dr. Wynn(Gastric Bypass). I made an appointment with a PCP reccomended by a friend and it was rescheduled at the last minute. The receptionist made the comment that the Dr. would probably provide the pre-authorization required, but would try to talk me out of it because "that's her job"....
...
I am BMI 42 with 3 comorbities... this is the first time I have felt hope that I could be more than a ticking time bomb. I don't want to be "talked out of it". I want to someone to really listen and understand how important being given this oppurtunity is to me. I am shy and a bit of a doormat. I can be strong and fight for this if I need to but it would be so much easier to go to someone who isn't against WLS from the start, kwim?
If you went to a Primary Care Dr. in Wilmington who is educated about WLS and listens and is supportive of your journey, could you PLEASE let me know who they are and where to find them?
Thanks for any help or support you can offer...

Topic: RE: TGIF!!!
It was a beautiful weekend! Today, not so much.....I ended up cleaning out a few garden beds and mulching before my head cold took over
. I hope though that after this rain goes away that I will be able to get the rest of the beds done this week.

Your breath smell is from ketosis. SOme say to try an altoid but I am not to that point yet so that may or may not work for you. Hopefully, your gas ains will subside soon. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Topic: It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood!
I just need to change my shoes and hang up my sweater and I'm good to go!
This weather is wonderful!
We drove around getting ideas for our patio. Our goal this summer is to have one built. I'm thinking of a raised, no wall type with a rounded step from the slider. Brown pavers are my #1 choice.
OK back to the taxes...
Enjoy the weather!

Thanks Michael and Judy. I'll have to keep an eye out for it at the market. Where do you buy it?
