I am trying , Judy. I don't think I will have Joann's tenacity, but I will try. Good luck with the taxes. Looking forward to seeing you and your daughter at the Victory meeting next month.

Swai is a lot like tilapia , in my opinion. A mild white fish. It has 13g of protien and 90 caloris in one 3.5 ounce serving. It basically takes the flavor of whatever you bake it with. My kids love it , too - which is a bonus.

Hey Mike!
Are you trying to revive this board? Good for you!
This weekend is tax weekend. UGG! I've put it off long enough.
The worst part is we'll get a refund! I just hate to get everything ready.
Nina,
Swai is a catfish farmed extensively in Asia. Excellent source of protein and omega 3 fatty acids.

Have a great weekend!

The shoulder gas pain is the worst! Try making large circles with your arm, it seems to work the gas out.
The breath issue is your body in ketosis. This too shall stop, just not quickly, lol. Your body is in rapid weight loss mode right now.
Try breath spray and mints.
Have a great weekend!

GAS X WILL NOT HELP THAT KIND OF GAS. iT IS THE RESULT OF THE AIR THEY PUMP INTO YOUR ABDOMEN SO THEY CAN SEE WHAT THEY ARE DOING. WALKING IS THE ONLY THING THAT HELPS, PLUS MILD HEAT ON YOUR SHOULDERS. TIME WILL FIX...SORRY FOR CAPS...I DID'T SEE TIL THE END!

What is swai! I've never heard of it. Where do you get it? How much protein per serving? Happy Friday!
Topic: TGIF!!!
Another beautiful day in Delaware - hopefully everybody will have a chance to get out and enjoy some sun and warmth! Another meatless Friday for me so getting protein will be tricky. Already had three eggs for breakfast. Looking forward to some oven fried swai for dinner tonight.
This will be the first weekend in a while where I didn't have plans that kept me away from the house. It will be nice to have a weekend where I can get some work done outside and open up the windows and air out the house. I do have 15 gallons of beer that need to be bottled this weekend and another 10 gallons that need to be transferred (I don't drink the stuff, I just brew it
).
Anybody doing anything special or neat this weekend?
Have a great one!!

I had lap band/hernia replair surgery on Monday, and each day so far has been different. My first days, I was really tired and my tummy was sore. Today and yesterday, I haven't needed to splint myself when getting up and my only problem is the gas that is stuck in my shoulders and around my diaphram. I've been making good use of my magic bullet, as I was allowed to start with that yesterday. I know walking is the only thing I can do to get rid of it, but it just hasn't been helping as much as I hoped. The WLS manager from the hospital said I could use gas-x strips that melt on your tongue, and I feel it's given me a steady rumble, but nothing else besides that. Anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with this? The pain gets so sharp that it makes it hard to breathe. Is that normal? Also, has anyone had issues with, what I call, "protein breath"? I've made it a point to avoid close contact with loved ones during or between shakes if I don't brush my teeth right away. I notice it leaves my mouth with this stank odor lol
Topic: Happy Thursday, Delaware!!
What a beautiful day it is today!! Just got back from a drive in the convertible with the top down. Went to the grocery store and bought the makings for corned beef and cabbage. I just love that stuff and now is the only time it is reasonable to buy it. I am not sure that it is the best thing to be eating, but there are things that are a lot worse.
Tonight for exercise my wife and are will be doing day 24 or 25 of P90X (I'm sure you have all seen the infomercial). It is a very good exercise program with a good mix of cardio and resistance training and you can see (or at least feel) results very quickly. It does require quite a time commitment (45-90 minutes a day, 6 days a week), but it doesn't get boring and you feel good afterwards. I never would have suspected that I could do (and almost enjoy) 90 minutes of yoga!!
Hope everyone has a great day and enjoys this wonderful weather!
Take care and be healthy,
Mike

I am new to the forum, but I'm here in Delaware. My surgery date (barring any catastrophes with my insurance---still waiting on approval) is 11 days from today....March 29th.
