5 K is about 3 miles.  You can take as long as you need.  I walked with a friend who is REALLY slow last year and we were dead last, but had fun.
I walk about 4 miles a day (not super fast).  I started with one mile and have increased it as the time went on.  I usually go early in the morning so it is not too hot.  It is my ME time and I love it.

Well here I am again, a day late and a few dollars short.  Alex had some Game Stop gift cards from Christmas that were about to expire but they didn't add up to enough for him to get the refurbbed X-Box he wanted, so I gave him the cash to make up the difference.  Now I'm close to broke.  LOL.

The past weekend was pretty busy at the Cafe with weekend warriors down here, renting the jet skis and having some beach food.  I made a yummy banana bread, which disappeared in very quick order.  Now I am preparing for an even busier weekend coming up.  Our jet ski rental special is still going on so if the weather holds up, the weekend will be a success.  Now if some folks would fill the dining room and patio all day, we'd be off and running.

Have a great holiday weekend everyone!  Be safe and don't drink and drive.

We had a nice uneventful weekend, the breezes were blowing here in the woods and I have yet to need to turn my a/c on in the house. The kids played outside all day while I got caught up on some housekeeping and a project for work. Today was my son's first day of summer school at the autism program, I took his sister to the Boys and Girls Club this morning, had the house to myself for about an hour before I went in to the office. The traffic on Route 1 is just ridiculous -- going to get worse this coming weekend -- I need to get myself organized for grocery shopping and other errands so I'm not out and about during the holiday weekend. I made a huge pot of 15-bean soup over the weekend, it turned out yummy and I have been dipping into it for three days now.  :-)

-BJ, 5 years out today!

Hi Joanne,
I also had a good weekend.  I miss shopping in Rehobeth when we had a house down there.... sigh....  How's Debbie and her new sexy body doing?  My kids love those Madea movies.  Yesterday I made a great salad. Steak Fajita salad.  Really good.  I think we'll have it again tonight.

Good Morning Delaware and Friends ! What is everyone up to lately ? I had a pleasant weekend. I went shopping Saturday for a couple of Wedding Gifts. I did buy a small electric pot at QVC Outlet for myself. It is better than a crock pot for it does everything from keep warm to deep fry. I made chicken barly soup in it yesterday. It really turned out good and so healthy. Saturday afternoon I went for a manicure and pedicure. Then went out to dinner with friends. It was really nice just to get out. Yesterday after Church I took Alexus shopping to get a gift for a friend, dropped her off for a sleep over and headed to Debbie's to watch Madia Goes to Jail. Today it is back to the real world. Laundry and all that stuff. Hope all had a pleasant weekend and took time to exercise and do something nice for yourself. See you lighter. Joanne
