I haven't been to Chili's in a very long time because it always seemed that their food was too heavy and greasy for me even before surgery. When Applebee's first came "on the scene" I wasn't such a huge fan of their food either. But, in the past few years, things have improved. and now they even have calories, fat and carbs listed on the menu for each item. Which makes it so much easier to make the healthy choice.

I'm grilling nothing, but I am looking forward to having some egg salad-y stuff on Sunday. Should make me not be envious of those having deviled eggs. :)

Rob, I don't think you are a downer, just an eye opener. You think you have a wise choice and its not so wise after all. I would never have thought to look at the calories. Surprising, very surprising!
Rosey, I think you are correct. A salad is a good choice if you get the dressing on the side. It's the dressing that can over load the calories.

Place: Maryland
Hotel: Aloft BWI (shuttle service provided)
Cost: $315.00 per person whi*****ludes 2 night hotel stay Party bus ride to and from each event. 1 catered event (see below). Also the night clubs... (the drinks are not included in prices at night clubs)... If you have a roommate the cost is $99.00 per night.

My husband, son and I are going to my cousin's house for the 4th. Not sure what they're serving, but I'll be bringing a side dish called Lemony Quinoa. I found the recipe on www.allrecipes.com. The recipe calls for chopped celery, chopped red onions, cayenne pepper, ground cumin, parsley, pine nuts (I'll substitute with almonds) and lemon juice. Quinoa has become my new favorite whole grain. So versatile.

Wow....that line "Can you believe Ringo is going to be 70 years old" hit me like a ton of bricks. Seems impossible, but I guess it happens to even HUGE rock stars. 
I really like him a lot. Seems like a very down to earth person from the interviews and such I've seen him give. Have a FANTASTIC time. Take photos (if allowed) and post some.

Can you believe that Ringo is going to be 70 years old. He is performing with a great group of muscians on Tuesday at the American Music Theatre up in Lancaster, PA.
We got 5th row tickets. I am so hoping that he plays the drums. It would be neat if his son played alongside with him.
We will be having dinner a Cracker Barrell.....so that will be a challange.
Hoping beyond hope that he will stay at the same hotel that we will be staying at.
