So I had been delayed from my original surgery date at the end of April due to a sleep study and a delay in getting an appointment to the pulmonolgist in the first place. Sleep study was done. I have sleep apnea. I've gotten my CPAP. I now sleep with it every night.

Last Tuesday the Pulmonologist finally cleared me, then I went to PMRI to get final clearance. I was nervous because I hadn't been weighed in 6 weeks....but I had actually lost 10 lbs in that period. I am now down 60 lbs to 453 since January. That's a big victory and a sign that I am going the right direction.

Final pre-surgery consult with Dr. Wynn on Tuesday, then it's up to Aetna. I hope to get approved soon. I want to know for sure it's showtime on June 22nd ASAP. Cross fingers. 

Hi Elisa    thank you so much for posting this. I am going to try my best to be there.  Crossing my fingers I dont get lost....... think I remember how to get there. 

This is a great meeting to attend. Dr. Peter’s is awesome. For those of us having issues, you can Ask the Doc. I’m sure he will have some suggestions and possibly some answers. Elissa

Christiana Care Bariatric Surgery Program

 I'm having foot surgery on June 7th and was told by the surgeon that I need to stay off my feet for 6 weeks.  I can only walk to the bathroom and back, basically.  6 weeks DOES seem like an awfully long time not to be able to walk, doesn't it?  When I go to see him on June 10th (for my follow-up) I'll see if he'll let me go to any of the meetings.  If not, I'll definitely be at a couple of them in July.
