It is an entertaining place, to say the least.
It is like a soap opera though:
-- You can't jus****ch for a day or two and know what is going on, it takes a while.
-- When you think you have figured out a character, they take on a whole new persona or get killed off.
-- Its a dirty little pleasure that even the most brilliant around watch, but don't ever get the delusion that it is reality.
-- It gives you good introspective into human nature, and is probably the most harmonious of all the forums (surgery type especially).
For the most part, I find the regulars to be some of the most intelligent people I have come across. Don't ever mistake it for a support forum; there are plenty of other places around OH for that. It isn't for everyone, but if you have a certain sense of humor, it is a wonderful outlet.

Highest Known Weight = 370# / 59.7 bmi @ 5'6"
Current Weight = 168# / 26.4 bmi : fluctuates 5# either way @ 5'7" / more than 90% EWL
Normal BMI (24.9) = 159#: would have to compromise my muscle mass to get here without plastics, so this is not a goal.

heh, and I will add that right now is probably not the best time to try to get into R&R--there's been a lot of drama lately, and because of some recent happenings, they are generally very suspicious of R&R "newbies."
But it IS generally fun, if you're into controversy, especially. I think if you tend toward sarcastic *****iness, it's a great place.

That particular poster does get tiring. In all of her chest thumping about supporting all surgery types she simultaneously denigrates all DSers in one sweeping stroke. She does a fine job of showing just how unsupportive she truly is despite what she wants to believe about herself. I'm surprised by all the people who jump on her bandwagon as her friends when in that one single thread she has shown that she is not trustworthy (Note she posted a Private Message) and she is hypocritical (support all surgery types while dissing those of us who had the DS).
I don't blame you for being disgusted by her but don't let her run you off. If reading her bothers you enough you could always just block her. Poof, she'd be gone.
You could always just take a break from that board for awhile. There are other Cali DSers who will keep an eye out to help over there. Not to worry.
