oh nothing just impatient i guess.  i'm ready to get into clothes that i haven't worn in a while.   i'm losing but i can eat more than others say they can eat this early out, so i'm worried i won't lose as much.  failed lap band messes with your head...

Don't let your mind psyche out your brain. It takes a lot longer to move in between plus sizes. I swear it felt like forever before I moved down a size. The DS will work. The lap band failed you, not the other way around.

If you readjust the way you think about food--it can be your friend instead of your enemy--your post-op DS life will be much easier. As long as you get in your required amount of protein daily (and limit your carbs if you worry about not losing quickly enough,) you are golden.

Eating helps you lose. Allow yourself to eat without guilt.

thank you steph, you're so awesome- you make me feel better.  I really shouldn't complain i've lost about 30 lbs, which feels incredible- i thought i would be down a size but i'll trust what you say about plus sizes and the ds.  it certainly has worked for you!!! you look amazing!

It's true about plus-size clothes. Man, they draped my body for years and years. I swear I was in a size 26-28 for about a 100 pound gain (how is that possible?). So it stands to reason that you would be in them longer than you want to be.

But once you get out of them, you will zooom down, I swear! Just be patient.

Thanks Jodi, I am glad that I could help. Just to put things into perspective...

You have 95 lbs to lose.
In a little over 1 month you have lost 30 lbs???

That means that you have already lost 32% of your EWL

I was at 28% EWL at 2 months out (you are ahead of me)
25% EWL at 2 months puts you on target for 100% EWL loss (you are ahead of the curve)

Just keep doing what you are doing because you are ROCKING your DS.

My cc is 125, and I like it. I have normal bm now, at first it was a little funny, but at 8 weeks out it seems to be normal. White flour gives me gas and certain sugar alcohols. So far that's all.
