For Vets More so than Newbies
Chris, I don't remember what TIVO stands for, would you please enlighten me. I've seen it before, just can't remember.
Sounds like you have to do a lot of adjusting, as many DS'ers seem to do. Some, like you, more than others.
Did they ever diagnose you with C-Diff, nasty stuff, can make you really sick, also, very contagious.
Is there a reason your weight loss stopped? I worry about this happening to me due to my body weight and age.
I envy you your plastics, something I'll never be able to afford.
Prayers your way. Thanks for sharing!

TIVO - like a DVR - tape now, watch later. Or eat carbs late in the day so by the time the ga****s you are home.
My weight loss stopped at around 8 mo out, and then at 9mo I lost another 10lbs. Granted I don't exercise per se, so that might have helped. Dr Bill asked me at the Christmas meeting in '08 if I could live with being 150lbs at 5'1"... I had to think about why I had the DS and that was for my diabetes which was gone. I was in size 9 jeans and a large top. I told him I was fine with it. Then I lost that last 10lbs. Since the end of Jan '09, I generally stay within 5lbs of 140. If I get up in the 146-148 I watch my carbs and I drop back down. I've been trying to lose another 10 before my plastics, but I get down to 139, then right back up to 141 or 142, then back to 140. I've never been a little bitty thing even though I'm very short. I've always strugged with my weight. There's no struggling now. I just can't seem to lose any more weight.
No to C-Diff, did all the tests a couple of times, but was never diagnosed with IBS either, but seemed to have all the symtoms. I've been with Kaiser since '89. You really have to beg for some tests. I pick the fight that is more important at the time.
I'd rather have too many BMs even if I get caught by a shart than constipation. With my 'roids that would be serious pain.
The plastics was a decision that I'm worth what I paid for my car 5 yrs ago! I figure that the DS gave me back the 15 yrs that diabetes was taking away, so I might as well look good for the last part of my life! Party on...

Thanks for the response back, Chris. I'm hopeing that my DH will get tired of looking at my saggy body and let me have some plastics. I doubt it though, money means more to him!
Still jumping through hoops with the insurance company, praying for DS around the first of next year........say some prayers or swing some critters for me!
