Too bad you don't need real-life specimens, I could give you 1/2 my relatives.

Hey EN:  I'm reading a REALLY good book called "Learning to Speak Alzheimers".  It's got tons of information in it exactly like this.  It explains why things progress like they do in Alz. patients, and it makes perfect sense.  I got my copy on line from Barnes & Noble.

I.  am.  not.  a.  doctor.

Elizabeth,  I work for a psychiatrist who deals with Alzheimer's and he would be a great person to contact...HOWEVER he is out of the country right now.  Sooo, I would really suggest checking out the alzheimers.org website ( I think that is it).  You could even contact them presonally and ask for information regarding any of your questions.  They are all about getting the information out there!

Now, from reading case experience, I have to say that any form of trauma to one with Alzheimer's can and does definitely effect them.  That said, moving from one place to another, any form of medical problems....such as a surgery to getting their teeth repaired. Can cause an exacerbation of their illness.  A fall even can cause more memory loss.

I will have to see if I can find that movie, as it really sounds good!

good luck with your paper, it will be a very interesting one!
