What do you eat when you are sick?

Progresso soup, summer sausage, eggs with crumbled up sausage in them, fried chicken,  ec. I eat the same things I eat all the time.

But come think about it, I don't think I've really been sick since I got the revision to DS. I think I've had 1 cold that lasted about 4 days, but that's all I can remember. I think it's all the vitamins and minerals I'm taking; makes me toxic to the bad germs~ LOL!

I live on soup when I'm not feeling good - usually some cream of tomato, or some french onion with most of the onions strained out.  That's usually about all I can stand.

Oh!  I forgot.....I did eat Cream of Chicken Soup - made with 1/2 milk and 1/2 cream.  :-)  I think it might have been better to make it with 1/2 milk and 1/2 water, though.  It sure was rich.....too rich for my tummy and feeling ill.

When I'm sick?

anything I want.

I'm sick maybe a handful of days out of many, a couple days of "whatever" isn't a big deal.  That means carbs be damned.  I usually crave soup and fruit.

If I'm too sick to eat, I don't worry about the protein, just the fluids. A few days of that won't hurt a bit. My major go-to food in such cases is egg drop soup.

Chicken soup and ginger ale. You won't die if you go a few days without much protein. Just eat what makes you feel better.

Egg drop soup sits well even though eggs by themselves do not.

Saltines and peanut butter... an old Roslin standby that still works for me.
