Thyroid still not regulated.

Thanks so much for that link - looks like a great site. I keep hearing good stuff about Armour, and the Synthroid is obviously not working. Dr. Endo has one more chance, then I'm off to someone else. Unfortuantely, I have to break in  new PCP. Mine moved her practice to a hospital in a smaller town so she would qualify for the student loan repayment. Don't blame her, but dammit, I *hate* breaking in a new doc.

Best thyroid info website EVAR! Thank you SO much!  It never showed up on any of the searches I did - odd.

Thanks Kathy! It's been said, but more is better. ;-)  Synthroid isn't working, obviously.

Raccoon face ... isn't so much a physical thing you can see... it's just something you "feel".  Like a pressure on your face - like if you had raccoon type mask that went around the eyebrows, over the bridge of your nose and all the way round to the most protruding part of your cheek bones.

I say it feels like someone is taking plastic wrap and tugging it against your face.  ... Or a tight one of these against your face:

Thanks Allie. I'm not quite coherent - blood caffeine level way too low. ;-)

The stop the madness site has been around for a long time in one incarnation or another, ... online in 97 was how I found out about the t3/t4 Armour meds.  Incidentally,... the Canadian equiv - incase anyone wants to know is actually called: - Thyroid - made by Pfizer.   I recommend anyone getting their first script of Armour or equiv... made sure that you are not being substituted.  I had one stupid pharmacist try to tell me that Synthroid was the same.    It was when and how I learned to be an advocate for myself.  MAKE SURE you're getting the meds you are supposed to be getting and accept nothing less.
