Believe it or not I finally have been approved and have a true surgery date.. JUNE 29th.  So glad to have a date, but extremely frustrated that it has taken since March 15th  to get it, paying for 3 cobra months to have it go through the process.  yeah that is expensive, but my insurance pays 100% of this surgery, so the $3900 I have paid for Cobra insurance is worth it.  I just wish the money would have been used to DO The surgery instead of being there for 3 months to just get a date.  I guess I need to  focus on the positive right!  None the less I am excited to have a date!
Thanks for all the supporters out there on OH listening to me complain, fuss, and stomp my feet.

JUNE 29th,
READY OR NOT HERE I COME!

That's awesome!!  Ouch on the COBRA payments...but that's about what I'm paying WITH insurance...so it all works out I guess.  I totally get your frustration though.  I was waiting since OCTOBER for a date   Yeah...I get the frustration, trust me I do.  I'm so excited for you to finally have yours!

Hey congrats!  Looks like we'll be DS buddies.  Dr. Stewart is doing my revision to DS on June 29th too!  It's gonna be a busy day for him.

Yea!! How long have you had a date? When did you start seeing Dr. Stewart?  Did you have a difficult time getting things taken care of, in order to get a date?

We might be walking the hallway laps together.  Befriend me and we can keep in touch.

I was approved by Aetna last Wednesday 6/1 and got the surgery date 6/3.  Pretty quick turnaround!  I actually started seeing Dr. Stewart a couple of years ago, but my wife talked me out of it.  I went back in January 2011 and now I'm set for the surgery.  I'm dragging the wife along kicking and screaming.  She's not very happy with my decision.

Here's to walking the halls with you.  See you on the dark side!

Hi and congratulations on getting a date.  I can sure understand your frustration in the time and money spent waiting for surgery.

You have lots to do before surgery; grocery shopping, last minute scheduling, etc. so try to put that bad experience behind you and focus on how great it will be to be on the losers bench.  I spent many hours viewing before & after pics.  They made the dream seem real, kwim?  Concentrate on things that make you happy and get ready for the ride of your life.  You will do great.
