Anyone know if the is DS contraindicated for osteoporosis?

Thanks for your reply. I'm really playing the waiting game right now. I have to wait for a bone scan, an appointment with an ortho, an appointment with an endo... This was just my PCP who said the fracture I have is an indicator of osteoporosis. Since that first day, I've been reading a lot about it and I'm wondering if she really should have said that to me! I will post when I find out more...thanks for giving your stats, too. That really helps and I actually feel much better after reading your reply! I'm not freaking out as much!

Hi there. Well, my PCP told me over the phone, "This break is usually a sign of osteoporosis." I have a compression fracture in my lower spine (T-11). I hope she's wrong. From what I've been reading over the last few days is that it's unlikely that I actually have full-blown osteoporosis. Man, why would she say that to me then? She's ordering a bone scan and some other consults, so we'll see. I HOPE she's wrong! Thanks for your support.
