bowel cleanse

per dr. lut's suggestion i took one bottle of citrate of magnesium at 4pm yesterday. . at 9pm, NOTHING...so before bed i took 2 ducolax and had what i consider very small success. im still bloated. his office was closed today. i am wondering if i should go to the health food store tomorrow and buy a colon cleanse (natural). i started metumucil today per his request. i am not in any pain, just not 'going'.great. (i miss my ds diaherra) 

 i stopped the iron for now until i go back feb. 7th. it is just so weird being constipated, i Never have experienced this until the past 5 months. do you think i should take another set of ducolex tonight? dr. wants my bowels cleansed. i just dont want to get addicted to laxatives...im so miserable :(

238 gram bottle if miralax mixed with a half gallon of G2. Just did a colon cleanse yesterday for a colonoscopy done this morning. You have to drink 8oz every 15 min. until its gone.

Stop your calcium for a few days. they restart gently and take stool softeners everyday to keep things soft. Increas your fat. spoonfuls of peanutbutter.

 

im all about the peanut butter and will reduce calcium. dr. said to not use stool softeners or miralax, only metamucil, what do you think?

You should ask him why he doesn't want you to use Miralax, because it's one of the best ones to use to get cleaned out.

 

Metamucil is fiber.... It may constipate you even more if you are blocked. You can add that after you get clean. Otherwise it is like pouring sand in the pipes that are blocked hoping the pressure from up will break the clog.
