STILL ALIVE - AFTER 18 YEARS
So here I am after 18 years after surgery. To get this out right up-front, I weigh 98.6 lbs. That's not my temperature; it's my weight. I would very much like to get back to 120 lbs. I look better and feel better at that weight.
Since I last posted many years ago; I married a second time, my children are both married and I have 4 grandchildren. It is my job to spoil those grandchildren and I take it seriously. haha
After I lost my second husband who had COVID, and a heart issue. My weight suddenly dropped from 120ish to 100 lbs. My energy level was below ground level. I lost my interest in eating. I would rather sleep than chew and if I sleep thru dinner time, my weight will drop by 1-2 lbs.
It feels very strange to force myself to eat, but I am trying. I cook very well and enjoy it. As an alternative, I drink lots of Premiere Protein drinks. My hope is that I can regain muscle mass and weight. We shall see.
Taking supplements is a pain; but I have found a variety of supplements that are sub-lingual. It is much easier than swallowing and the after taste which I detest. My primary doctor after 20 years retired and I just sobbed. However, my new doctor is much younger and I informed her that she has to continue working until she is eligible for Social Security. She is a real gem and will consult with me as long as I have questions. What a blessing that is.
So, in summary, I am trying to GAIN weight, stay healthy and be happy. I enjoy working in my newly planted Rose Garden and trying to grow a few trees: Meyer Lemon, Key Lime, and Avocado. I live alone, so I subscribed to the Alexa Alert service, so 911 is just a voice request. I have great neighbors who help with small things, like changing a light bulb or the Smoke Alarm battery.
I will be back to post more often. Take care, Y'ALL.
