You might want to call Dr. Marema's office at Flagler Hospital.  He's the bariatric surgeon in your area and I'm sure they can make a recommendation as to which PCPs will help you with your wls and keep a close watch on your lab work. 

Hopefully, you'll get some personal responses here but that call to Dr. Marema's office is just a thought.

I know its in Ocala, but Dr Asokan and Dr Niger are amazing and world reknowned plastic surgeons.  I have seen some of thier work and WOW, that is exactly who I will be using when I get to the exciting place you are now!

Hey there!  I'm probably going to have surgery at the end of next month with either Esposito or Bayron at Florida Medical Center in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.  I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with these two surgeons because I've found very little information on them online, which I think is kinda weird. 

Dr. Carasquilla is semi-retired (he no longer performs surgery, but reviews all files and conducts the seminar) and has a great reputation and FMC is s center of bariatric excellence, etc.., but I'd like to know more about the surgeons from their patients. 

Are any of you a patient or were any of you a potential patient who went elsewhere for some reason?

I have medicaid in jacksonville and the requirements for me were: 6 months of documented weight maintenence by a physician, pcp referral, pcp letter stating its medically neccessary, dietician clearance, phych evaluation, sometimes a cardiologist clearance and pulmonary doctor clearance.
