Emily......I was going to ask about when you and your surgery, as well.  But then I thought bypass would be the group you'd want to be in as bandsters are so way far different than other surgeries.

I do hope you can make this meeting a time or two and see if its a good fit for you.  I may attend, as well, and (as you know) sent the information along to our group.

You look fantastic, my friend.  I'm proud of you.

Howdy, Odalys has caused many to become impatient. Try to remember how busy they are. I would suggest mailing "stuff" with a receipt..That way you know when it got there. Call them, call them and keep calling..The squeaky wheel....
If you get rude it is not going to help you...please remember (I did) how long it took me to get to the point I needed WLS.
IMO,The fact that Dr Jawad has a busy practice is a good sign, better that the opposite. If she would call you daily they would have no one else to operate on, right?

Hang in there

Hey guys! I submitted my doctor supervised to him about 10 days ago. Odalys was great about responding to me PRIOR to me sending that, but then she did not respond again after that to let me know she got it. I FINALLY got ahold of other office staff who said that they did, in fact, receive it, but they were reviewing it prior to submitting it to insurance.

Okay, I get that....but I guess I am already not happy about being ignored for a week when all it would have taken was simple email stating she got it......

anyway, so how long did it take you for them to "review it" before submitting it to insurance. Time is wasting here....I know we all get impatient, I just want this surgery...LIKE YESTERDAY! lol. Thanks

I had heard thru the grapevine that Dr. Webb and his group were now doing surgeries at St. Luke's.  Are they no longer affiliated with Memorial?

And I know that in the past patients of Dr. Webb's went thru Jarrod's and hiw wife's group.  Is that your group?  I'd asked to attend the Jarrod group support group meetings in the past and never got approval to do that so if you are the same group, I'm happy to hear you've opened the meetings up to others in the community.

I have had my support group for almost 6 years now and have moved the meetings from every other Saturday to lunch every Wednesday to meetings on Thursdays to dinner on Tuesdays.  Amazingly, Saturday was always my big attendance day and lunches on Wednesday was the second largest group.  There was a time I had 6 meetings a month so I know there are a lot of people out there who want to find a meeting to attend.

But I'm just curious as to whether or not you're Jarrod and his group and if not, whether or not they still exist and if the Webb group is now exclusively at St. Luke's.

Oh, did Dr. Herrerra and Chappeno stay at St. Vincent's and aren't going to cross the river to do surgeries at St. Luke's?

I just like to keep my finger on the pulse and wanted some updated information if you don't mind sharing.

I live about 10 mins from Winter Haven....had my surgery 12/30/10, my mom had it too a few years ago. There is a local support group that meets the last Monday of the month in Lakeland. I have not ben able to attend one yet, seems that our appointments for fills are on the same days. I know we need to go, maybe we could meet somewhere and go together. My mom lives pretty close to Lake Wales, wonder if you know our family? lol
