Are you looking to receive support and encouragement from a group of compasionate individuals that have walked in your shoes? Please join Novus Centers, an independant bariatric support center once per month at our peer-to-peer support meeting.
The meeting is facilitated by a registered dietician and focuses on peer support in a safe environment to discuss personal success and challenges and openly share their experiences with one another.
Location: St. Luke's Hospital, Auditorium A.
Next Meetings: June 6th and July 11th.
Time:
6:00 p.m. Band patients
7:00 p.m. Sleeve and Bypass patients

I am fepblue here in Tampa, I called and they said ONLY if it is Diabetes related, you can call to ask questions and they open a case?? never heard of that. anyhow I have basic, and i am working towards a lap band, good luck and share, am still in the caboose, !

I had my surgery with Dr Murr on 12-09-09.. and i just love him n his staff.. did u check wuith his staff .. i am sure they have a nutrionist... Good Luck to U... TGH has great support meetings each month that arejust wonderful.. Good Luck!!!!

Did you find someone? I am not sure about the insurance but maybe try this person if yo haven't found anyone. I know she is in Pt Charlotte.

I have a friend that had Dr. Rosenthal do her surgery at the Cleveland Clinic last September. If I can recall, her surgery was scheduled for 3 weeks after she was approved. This allowed for her 2 week pre-op diet.
My friend had BCBS and had a few issues with getting approval but it was too long.

Thanks for the info, I want to be able to make my weight loss jouney as smooth as possible and my doctor doesnt believe in weight loss surgery even after i explained Ive tried everything. Thanks for the info

My PCP is in central pinellas, don't know if that is too far for you. His name is Dr. Okeson. I love him. He is so nice and totally on board with WLS and was happy to fill out the forms that my surgeon sent him.
