Hi All,
Had VSG 12-08-2008, the best thing I did for myself. Lost 115 lbs and am goal of 149 lbs. Love the new me. Moved from Ohio 3 months ago and am looking for support on this site or any meetings that are available in the Sun City Center area. Your help would be appreciated. Thanks again and will love getting to know you all.

Topic: Appealing UHC EPO , Fla any suggestions? Newbie!
Was denied wls because the doctors office did not send in all paper work. I'm going through the appeal process and I just feel like I have to do something. I want to write a letter and send in some pictures. Any suggestions will be welcomed. I was denied because they did not have my 5 years history or my BMI ie clinicals. Not my fault! Thank you in advance for your help and prayers!

Hi thre! I'm new here. I live in Clearwater. I'm just in the very early stages of the weight loss surgery process. I've attended the surgeon's seminar and now I need to schedule my consult appointment. I'm really not sure how long it will take from there, since I'm so new. I do have insurance, so I'm guessing it may take a while to get it approved through the insurance. I'm going with Dr. Gonzalvo in Largo. Planning to do the sleeve. Has anyone used him?

I'm in Clewiston which is actually 45 minutes or so East of Ft Myers on 80. 1/2 way between Ft Myers and West Palm. Not too far, used to make the Ft. Myers run once a week when my daughter was in school at Gulf Coast.
Topic: Anyone else going from Orlando to Ocala 12/23 or 1/13?
I am officially scheduled for surgery!!
I have to pre-ops though (due to the holidays) I have to go from Orlando to Ocala on 12/23 for Dr Jawad's office pre-op and then back again on 1/13 for Hospital pre-op.
**drumroll please** my official surgery date will be 1/17!!
If anyone else is going to be going the same dates, let me know! Would be nice to car pool or meet up with someone since I think it might be some long days!

I am in Orlando and hope that in a few months I will be able to rehome some of my clothing too. Is there anyone in Orlando that know some nice consignment shops? I know I will want to try to sell some of my larger sized clothes as well as buy some gently used things as I get smaller.

Our group members have had their surgeries performed by various WLS surgeons and hospitals, and we are not affiliated with any specific WLS surgeon or hospital.

Additionally, this will also be our Holiday party. Please plan on bringing a WLS-friendly food or drink to share. No need to bring a large amount since we can all only have a ‘taste.’ It would also be helpful if you could provide the recipe to share with the group. Supportive family members and friends are also welcome. Children are also welcome. It is often helpful for our home support system to hear other’s experiences in this journey.

I "snowbird" in your neck of the woods. Address says FMB but it's on the mainland. The rest of the time I'm in Nashville. I'm a DS post op, very happy with my choice. I mostly lurk and post every once in a while, mostly on the DS forum. This is a good place to learn and be encouraged. I think MellySarah03 is a DS who posts from Fort Myers (and she has youtube videos!) and Wings is a revision DS who posts from FMB. Chili Pepper is an RNY who was in Cape Coral but I think she moved recently to FM or NFM. Stick around!
